Tunajua hadithi hiyo, lakini kinachonishangaza ni kwamba wakati wote Yona alipomkimbia Mungu, alijua kwamba Mungu alikuwa mvumilivu! Kwa hiyo nilikimbilia Tarshishi hapo awali; kwa maana najua ya kuwa wewe u Mungu mwenye neema na rehema, si mwepesi wa hasira, u mwingi wa rehema, ughairiye mabaya.&#039;\u2018 Yona alijua huyu ndiye Mungu wa subira!<\/p><p>Paulo anamkumbusha Timotheo na kila mhubiri \u201cLihubiri neno; uwe tayari wakati unaofaa na wakati usiofaa. Karipia, kemea, onya kwa uvumilivu wote na mafundisho\u201d (2 Tim. 4:2). Wakati mwingine tunatarajia watu katika kusanyiko au waumini wapya wapate usiku kucha, lakini tunachosahau ni muda uliotuchukua kuupata na jinsi Mungu alivyokuwa mvumilivu kwetu!<\/p><p>Sote tumepitia uvumilivu wa Mungu maishani mwetu. Wakati mwingine hata tunawaambia wengine, \u201cNivumilieni; Mungu hajamaliza nami bado.\u201d Jambo la kuchekesha ni kwamba, tunataka wengine wawe na subira nasi, lakini hatuko tayari kila wakati kuwa na subira na wengine!
