\u201c"Abramu alipokuwa na umri wa miaka tisini na tisa, Bwana akamtokea Abramu, akamwambia, Mimi ni Mungu Mwenyezi; tembea mbele zangu, uwe mkamilifu; nami nitafanya agano langu kati yangu na wewe, nami nitakuzidisha sana."\u2018

Hii ni mara ya tano tunasoma kwamba Bwana alimtokea Abramu, lakini mara ya mwisho Mungu alipozungumza naye ilikuwa miaka kumi na tatu iliyopita. Abramu alikuwa amempitia Bwana alipoanza kutembea kwa imani katika sura ya 12-13. Alikuwa amejifunza umuhimu wa kumtegemea Mungu wake katika sura ya 14-15 alipokuwa akipigana vita kwa imani. Lakini sasa, katika sura ya 16-17, Abramu na mkewe wanaona ni vigumu kumngojea Bwana kwa imani. Mungu alikuwa ameahidi nchi hiyo kwa Abramu na wazao wake, lakini walikuwa wanaendelea kuzeeka na bado hawakuwa na watoto. Katika sura ya 16, Sarai anafanya kile tunachofanya mara nyingi\u2014anachukua mambo mikononi mwake mwenyewe. Anampa Abramu mjakazi wake Mmisri, Hajiri, lakini hii inaleta matatizo zaidi!<\/p>

Mara nyingi, hali hutokea katika maisha yetu ambapo tunajaribu kutatua mambo peke yetu, na tunazidisha hali hiyo. Bwana hataki tutegemee werevu au nguvu zetu wenyewe. Anatamani tuamini kwamba hakuna kitu kilicho kigumu sana kwake na kwamba anaweza kugeuza kizuizi kuwa fursa ya kuonyesha utukufu wake!<\/p>

Bwana anajifunua kwa Abramu kama Mungu Mwenyezi. Jina hili limeundwa na maneno mawili: El, linalozungumzia nguvu, na Shaddai, ambalo lina wazo la pamoja la nguvu zote na utoshelevu wote. Bwana alikuwa karibu kumwambia Abramu kwamba Sarai angepata mwana, hata akiwa na umri wa miaka tisini! Abramu, Sarai, na kila mtu mwingine alifikiri tumbo lake lilikuwa limekufa, lakini Bwana alikuwa karibu kufanya yasiyowezekana. Alikuwa na uwezo wa kutosha kuleta kuzaliwa kwa muujiza!<\/p>

Kama alivyofanya kwa Abramu, Bwana anaweza kujifunua kwetu kupitia Neno Lake kwa njia ile ile tunayomhitaji. Ukikabiliwa na uamuzi mkubwa au ukajikuta katika hali isiyowezekana, usikimbie mbele ya Bwana. Mngojee adhihirishe nguvu na uweza wake! Abramu aliagizwa kutembea mbele za Bwana na kutokuwa na lawama. Paulo anatukumbusha, \u201cYeye ambaye hakumhurumia Mwanawe mwenyewe, bali alimtoa kwa ajili yetu sote, atakosaje kutupatia vitu vyote pamoja naye?\u201d (Rum. 8:32). Mwamini Yeye akupe!<\/p>
