<\/em>1 Petro 1:1\u20132<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div>

Mtume Petro anaandika waraka huu kwa waumini wanaoishi katika ulimwengu wenye uadui\u2014uadui kwa wale wanaotamani kuishi kwa ajili ya Kristo.<\/p>

Ingawa wametawanyika kote katika eneo hilo, Petro anataka watambue nafasi yao katika Kristo. Anawaita wasafiri, akimaanisha wale ambao si wa kwao, ambao wanapita tu, ambao hawako nyumbani lakini wako katika nchi ya kigeni. Alitaka wafahamu ukweli kwamba "uraia wao uko mbinguni" (Flp. 3:20), na kwamba uraia huu unapaswa kuja kwanza. Wanaweza kuwa raia wa Milki ya Kirumi, lakini kwa kweli ni wasafiri wa Mungu, wageni wa kiroho wanaotafuta "mji wenye misingi, ambao mjenzi na mtengenezaji wake ni Mungu" (Ebr. 11:10).
