Shahidi Mwaminifu<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yesu Kristo, shahidi mwaminifu, mzaliwa wa kwanza kutoka kwa wafu, na mtawala wa wafalme wa dunia. Kwake yeye aliyetupenda na kutuosha dhambi zetu katika damu yake mwenyewe, na kutufanya wafalme na makuhani kwa Mungu wake na Baba yake, kwake kuna utukufu na ukuu milele na milele. Amina.

Katika mistari ya leo, Yohana anatupa sababu za kumtukuza Bwana Yesu. Sababu ya kwanza ni kwamba Yeye ndiye shahidi mwaminifu. Kuna angalau mara tatu katika kitabu cha Ufunuo ambapo Yohana anatumia usemi huu \u201cmwaminifu\u201d kuhusiana na Bwana Yesu (1:4\u20135; 3:14; 19:11). Hapa Yeye ndiye shahidi mwaminifu. Kumekuwa na mashahidi wengi hapa katika tukio hili kwa ajili ya utukufu wa Mungu, lakini hakuna hata mmoja wao aliyekuwa bila dosari. Mmoja tu alikuwa mkamilifu, bila doa wala waa, na Mmoja tu ndiye angeweza kuitwa shahidi mwaminifu. Kuanzia horini hadi msalabani, alikuwa thabiti katika utumishi Wake. Yohana anaanza kumtukuza Bwana Yesu kwa kutukumbusha kwamba alipokuwa hapa, Kristo alikuwa shahidi mwaminifu wa utukufu wa Mungu!<\/p>
