Nahumu ameitwa na Bwana kutabiri hukumu juu ya watu wale wale waliotubu wakati Yona alipowahubiria kwa kusita. Lakini wakati ulikuwa umepita na watu wa Ninawi walikuwa wamerudi kwenye njia zao mbaya. Katika sura ya kwanza tunasoma kuhusu tangazo la hukumu, katika sura ya 2 kuhusu nguvu ya hukumu, na katika sura ya 3 kuhusu mwisho wa hukumu hiyo. Sura tatu za hukumu zote ziko katika kitabu hiki!<\/p><p>Lakini mstari wetu unasimama kama mnara wa taa unaoangaza tumaini katika usiku wa giza kwa wote wanaopita! Katika mstari huu mmoja tunaona mambo matatu. Kwanza, tunasoma kuhusu wema wa Mungu. Huenda hili lisiwe ndilo tungetoa; tungeweza kusema, Bwana ni Mtakatifu au Bwana ni mkuu, lakini Nahumu anatangaza wema wa Bwana! Bwana ni mwema kindani, kimaadili, kiadili, na kivitendo. Mtunga Zaburi angetukumbusha kwamba Bwana ni mwema na anafanya mema (Zab. 119:68). Wema huu wa Mungu ulionyeshwa katika maisha yote ya Bwana Yesu alipozunguka-zunguka akitenda kila aina ya wema (Matendo 10:38).<\/p><p>Hoja ya pili na ya tatu ya ujumbe wa Nahumu iko wazi. Bwana anaweza kuwaokoa wale wanaomgeukia kutoka katika ukali wa hukumu iliyokuwa karibu kuiangukia Ninawi. Nahumu angeweza kutangaza, hata katika hukumu, kwamba Bwana ni mwema kwa sababu Yeye ni mnara imara kwa wote wanaomtumaini.<\/p><p>Kama vile hukumu ilivyokuja Ninawi, inawajia wanadamu wote. Leo kuna mnara wa taa unaoangaza injili ya neema ya Mungu, ukiangaza, \u201cMungu Anakupenda!\u201d Ameandaa njia ya wokovu msalabani mwa Yesu Kristo. Wote wanaomjia na kukiri dhambi zao wataokolewa!
