Ni wakati wa Wakristo kuwa chumvi na nuru. Hatufanyi hivi si kwa kufuata mtindo wa ulimwengu wa kushikilia mamlaka, bali kwa kukabiliana na utamaduni huo kwa upendo wa Kristo. Hii ina maana ya kuwapenda adui zetu, kuwabariki wale wanaotulaani, kuwa wapole na wanyenyekevu moyoni, na kuwa tayari kuteswa kwa ajili ya jina lake.<\/p><p data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"1416\">Kwa nini tufanye hivyo? Kwa sababu ya upendo wa Yesu. Tunampenda Mwokozi wetu mkuu. Na tuna hamu kubwa ya kuona wengine wakija kwenye wokovu. Tunawaelewa kwa sababu hapo awali tulikuwa kama wao. Sisi pia tulikuwa wenye kujipenda wenyewe, wasio watakatifu, wasio na shukrani, na wasiopenda. Tunajua kwamba wazinzi, waabudu sanamu, wazinzi, na wale wanaofanya ushoga hawataurithi ufalme wa Mungu (1 Kor. 6:9\u201310). Zaidi ya hayo, tunaelewa kwamba baadhi yetu tulikuwa kama hao\u2014lakini tulioshwa, tulitakaswa. Ghadhabu ya Mungu iliyosimama juu yetu kwa sababu ya dhambi zetu ilichukuliwa na Kristo msalabani kama Mbadala wetu. Tumehesabiwa haki kwa jina la Yesu (1 Kor. 6:11).<\/p><p data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"2094\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Yesu amefuta maovu yetu na kuondoa hukumu yetu ya kifo. Tunahitaji nini zaidi? Tungependa nini zaidi? Tunapaswa kuogopa nini? Kwa sababu ya upendo wake mkuu kwetu, tunajikana wenyewe, tunajitwika msalaba wetu, na kumfuata (Mathayo 16:24). Hatuna tena deni kwa mwili, kuishi kulingana na maagizo yake (Rum. 8:12). Kwa Roho, tunapinga tamaa zetu za dhambi kwa sababu tuna upendo mkuu zaidi\u2014Yesu Kristo. Ulimwengu unaishi kulingana na mwili, na wale wanaoishi kulingana na mwili watakufa (Rum. 8:13). Mshahara wa dhambi bado unawashikilia. Hatuwezi na hatutashiriki katika njia zao. Hatutarudi utumwani sasa kwa kuwa Kristo ametuweka huru. Lakini tutaita ulimwengu uliopotea kwenye wokovu katika Yesu, hata kama wengi katika ulimwengu huu wanatuchukia kwa ajili yake.
