Eis que ordenei a uma vi\u00fava de l\u00e1 que te sustente.\u2019\u201d<br \/><strong>1 Reis 17:8-9<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Elias havia se apresentado ao rei Acabe e lhe entregado a mensagem de que n\u00e3o haveria orvalho nem chuva, a n\u00e3o ser por sua palavra. Mas ent\u00e3o o Senhor o instruiu a se esconder junto ao ribeiro de Querite, onde seria alimentado por corvos de manh\u00e3 e \u00e0 tarde. Contudo, as li\u00e7\u00f5es sobre o valor da vida oculta n\u00e3o haviam terminado para ele. O Senhor havia usado aves impuras para alimentar Elias, e agora usaria uma vi\u00fava pobre que se encontrava em situa\u00e7\u00e3o desesperadora.<\/p><p>Elias obedece e encontra a vi\u00fava nos port\u00f5es da cidade, juntando gravetos para acender uma fogueira para a \u00faltima refei\u00e7\u00e3o dela e de seu filho. Ele lhe pede: \u201cTraga-me um pouco de \u00e1gua numa vasilha, para que eu beba\u201d (v. 10). A vi\u00fava come\u00e7a a atender ao seu pedido, apesar de seu pr\u00f3prio sofrimento. Elias vai al\u00e9m, pedindo-lhe que traga p\u00e3o junto com a \u00e1gua. A vi\u00fava responde: \u201cT\u00e3o certo como vive o Senhor, teu Deus, n\u00e3o tenho nada assado, apenas um punhado de farinha numa vasilha e um pouco de azeite numa botija. E agora estou juntando alguns gravetos para preparar a refei\u00e7\u00e3o para mim e para meu filho, para que a comamos e depois morramos\u201d (v. 12). Elias ent\u00e3o lhe assegura: \u201cPorque assim diz o Senhor, Deus de Israel: A farinha da vasilha n\u00e3o se acabar\u00e1, nem o azeite da botija faltar\u00e1, at\u00e9 o dia em que o Senhor fizer chover sobre a terra\u201d (v. 14). Esta parte da hist\u00f3ria deles termina com uma b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o: \u201cEnt\u00e3o ela foi e fez conforme a palavra de Elias; e ela, ele e a sua fam\u00edlia comeram durante muitos dias\u201d (v. 15).<\/p><p>Qual foi o ponto de virada desta hist\u00f3ria? Foi quando Elias p\u00f4de dizer: \u201cAssim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel\u201d. Elias havia aprendido a viver uma vida de entrega, escondendo-se. Ele havia aprendido que o pouco que se entrega ao Senhor \u00e9 muito em Suas m\u00e3os. Ent\u00e3o, juntos, Elias e a vi\u00fava aprenderam a verdade do Salmo 73:25-26: \u201cQuem tenho eu nos c\u00e9us al\u00e9m de ti? E na terra, nada mais desejo al\u00e9m de ti. A minha carne e o meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o desfalecem, mas Deus \u00e9 a fortaleza do meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o e a minha heran\u00e7a para sempre\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>A esperan\u00e7a surgiu quando Elias assegurou a ela que nada faltaria \u201cat\u00e9 que o Senhor envie chuva sobre a terra\u201d, e eles experimentaram a ajuda do Senhor quando \u201ca farinha da panela n\u00e3o se acabou, nem o azeite da vasilha faltou, conforme a palavra do Senhor\u201d.
