Ent\u00e3o ele foi e fez conforme a palavra do Senhor; foi e ficou junto ao ribeiro de Querite, que des\u00e1gua no Jord\u00e3o. Os corvos lhe traziam p\u00e3o e carne pela manh\u00e3, e p\u00e3o e carne \u00e0 tarde; e ele bebia da correnteza. E aconteceu que, depois de algum tempo, o ribeiro secou, porque n\u00e3o havia chovido na terra.\u201d<br \/><strong>1 Reis 17:4-7<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>O Senhor havia instru\u00eddo Elias a ir ao ribeiro de Querite e a se esconder ali. Elias estava agora em cena, comparecendo perante o rei Acabe e declarando que n\u00e3o choveria. Tiago 5:17-18 revela esse fato e nos informa que \u201cElias era homem como n\u00f3s, e orou fervorosamente para que n\u00e3o chovesse; e n\u00e3o choveu sobre a terra durante tr\u00eas anos e seis meses. E orou outra vez, e o c\u00e9u deu chuva, e a terra produziu o seu fruto\u201d. O fato de Elias ter se escondido em Querite n\u00e3o era para que aprendesse a orar; ele j\u00e1 era um homem de ora\u00e7\u00e3o. O esconderijo servia para ensinar a Elias que n\u00e3o havia lugar para o ego\u00edsmo no servi\u00e7o do Senhor. Como disse C. H. Mackintosh: \u201cNosso tempo de treinamento em segredo deve ser muito maior do que nosso tempo de atua\u00e7\u00e3o em p\u00fablico\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Esse tempo a s\u00f3s com o Senhor foi valioso para Elias de outra forma. Ensinou-o que somente Deus era o seu provedor. Elias tinha \u00e1gua para beber, e o Senhor ordenou aos corvos que o alimentassem. Quando estamos no centro da vontade de Deus, Ele supre todas as nossas necessidades. O corvo era uma ave impura (Lev\u00edtico 11:13-19), contudo, o Senhor demonstrava ao seu servo que Ele estava acima de tudo e que o sustentaria enquanto ele se escondia. O Senhor lhe enviava p\u00e3o e carne todas as manh\u00e3s e tardes por meio desses corvos, enquanto ele tamb\u00e9m bebia da \u00e1gua do ribeiro.<\/p><p>Quando o riacho secou, o Senhor que havia providenciado ainda estava com Elias! O fato de o riacho ter secado n\u00e3o pegou o Senhor de surpresa. Seu cuidado por Elias n\u00e3o foi afetado pela seca do riacho, e Ele ainda estava no controle. Quando os riachos de nossas vidas secam, devemos lembrar que o Senhor \u00e9 capaz de prover. A gra\u00e7a que nos salvou \u00e9 a gra\u00e7a que pode nos sustentar, e Sua gra\u00e7a sustentadora em nossas vidas \u00e9 suficiente para as nossas necessidades!<\/p><p><strong>\u00c2ncora de hoje:<\/strong><br \/>A provis\u00e3o do Senhor foi poss\u00edvel porque Elias se escondeu e estava onde o Senhor lhe havia instru\u00eddo.
