Conhecemos a hist\u00f3ria, mas o que me impressiona \u00e9 que, durante todo o tempo em que Jonas fugiu de Deus, ele sabia que Deus era paciente! Veja o que ele diz em Jonas 4:1-2: \u201cMas Jonas ficou extremamente descontente e irado. Ent\u00e3o orou ao Senhor e disse: \u2018Ah, Senhor! N\u00e3o foi isso que eu disse quando ainda estava na minha terra? Por isso fugi para T\u00e1rsis, pois sei que tu \u00e9s um Deus misericordioso e compassivo, tardio em irar-se e cheio de amor, que se arrepende de causar dano.\u2019\u201d Jonas sabia que esse era o Deus da paci\u00eancia!<\/p><p>Paulo lembra a Tim\u00f3teo e a todos os pregadores: \u201cPregue a palavra! Esteja preparado a tempo e fora de tempo. Conven\u00e7a, repreenda, encoraje, com toda a longanimidade e ensino\u201d (2 Tim\u00f3teo 4:2). \u00c0s vezes, esperamos que as pessoas na igreja ou os novos convertidos entendam isso da noite para o dia, mas esquecemos quanto tempo levou para n\u00f3s mesmos entendermos e quanta paci\u00eancia Deus teve conosco!<\/p><p>Todos n\u00f3s j\u00e1 experimentamos a paci\u00eancia de Deus em nossas vidas. \u00c0s vezes, at\u00e9 dizemos aos outros: \u201cSejam pacientes comigo; Deus ainda n\u00e3o terminou comigo\u201d. O curioso \u00e9 que queremos que os outros sejam pacientes conosco, mas nem sempre estamos dispostos a ser pacientes com os outros! Mas se formos cheios e controlados pelo Esp\u00edrito Santo, a paci\u00eancia, ou longanimidade, ser\u00e1 uma das evid\u00eancias desse controle (G\u00e1latas 5:22).<\/p><p>Em Ef\u00e9sios 4:2-3, somos exortados a viver \u201ccom toda a humildade e mansid\u00e3o, com longanimidade, suportando-vos uns aos outros em amor, esfor\u00e7ando-vos diligentemente por preservar a unidade do Esp\u00edrito no v\u00ednculo da paz\u201d. Se somos motivados pelo amor que foi derramado em n\u00f3s, ent\u00e3o ele deve ser demonstrado. Uma das coisas que lemos no \u201ccap\u00edtulo do amor\u201d (1 Cor\u00edntios 13) \u00e9 que \u201co amor \u00e9 paciente\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Paulo sabia o qu\u00e3o importantes s\u00e3o a paci\u00eancia e a longanimidade, e as menciona repetidamente em seus escritos ao povo de Deus. Em Colossenses 1:9-11, ele orou: \u201cPor essa raz\u00e3o, desde o dia em que ouvimos falar de voc\u00eas, n\u00e3o cessamos de orar por voc\u00eas e de pedir que sejam cheios do conhecimento da vontade de Deus, em toda a sabedoria e entendimento espiritual; para que voc\u00eas vivam de maneira digna do Senhor, agradando-lhe em tudo, frutificando em toda boa obra e crescendo no conhecimento de Deus; fortalecidos com todo o poder, segundo a sua gloriosa for\u00e7a, para toda a paci\u00eancia e longanimidade com alegria\u201d. Mais adiante, no mesmo livro, ele diz: \u201cPortanto, como eleitos de Deus, santos e amados, revistam-se de profunda compaix\u00e3o, bondade, humildade, mansid\u00e3o e longanimidade. Suportem-se uns aos outros e perdoem-se mutuamente, caso algu\u00e9m tenha queixa contra o outro. Assim como o Senhor os perdoou, perdoem tamb\u00e9m voc\u00eas\u201d (Colossenses 3:12-13).<\/p><p>Talvez uma das raz\u00f5es pelas quais temos tantos relacionamentos desfeitos, tantos problemas nas fam\u00edlias e tantos problemas nas igrejas seja porque perdemos de vista a paci\u00eancia do Deus da paci\u00eancia! Talvez essa seja uma das raz\u00f5es pelas quais somos t\u00e3o r\u00e1pidos em descartar e ignorar uns aos outros!<\/p><p><strong>\u00c2ncora de hoje:<\/strong><br \/>Que possamos v\u00ea-Lo cada vez mais como o Deus da paci\u00eancia, e que Ele nos ajude a demonstrar essa mesma paci\u00eancia uns para com os outros!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Patience of God Think of just how patient God was with Jonah.
