Ela descreve a verdadeira santidade, espiritualidade e virtude. A palavra <em>contentamento<\/em> Significa \u201cautossufici\u00eancia interior\u201d. Era frequentemente usado para descrever uma pessoa que est\u00e1 em paz interiormente e n\u00e3o se deixa abalar por circunst\u00e2ncias externas \u2014 uma pessoa que responde adequadamente ao seu ambiente.<\/p><p>Quando combinamos essas duas palavras, <em>piedade<\/em> e <em>contentamento<\/em>, Aprendemos que ambos devem ser evidentes em nossas vidas como seguidores de Jesus Cristo. Devemos ter \u201cum estilo de vida que reflita consistentemente o car\u00e1ter de Deus\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Paulo prossegue apresentando quatro verdades que nos ajudam a viver vidas crist\u00e3s plenas, que refletem consistentemente o car\u00e1ter de Deus.<\/p><p>Primeiramente, aprendemos que a satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o vem de posses ou riquezas. A satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o vem de uma vida piedosa que confia e depende de Deus em todas as circunst\u00e2ncias (2 Cor\u00edntios 3:5; Filipenses 4:11).<\/p><p>Em segundo lugar, as coisas materiais n\u00e3o duram; s\u00e3o tempor\u00e1rias. Nada trouxemos para o mundo e nada levaremos dele de material (J\u00f3 1:21; Salmo 49:17; Eclesiastes 5:15).<\/p><p>Em terceiro lugar, o Senhor supre fielmente as nossas necessidades b\u00e1sicas. O Senhor Jesus disse: \u201cPor isso eu lhes digo: n\u00e3o se preocupem com a sua vida, com o que comer ou beber; nem com o seu corpo, com o que vestir. A vida n\u00e3o \u00e9 mais importante do que a comida, e o corpo mais importante do que a roupa? Observem as aves do c\u00e9u: elas n\u00e3o semeiam nem colhem, nem armazenam em celeiros; contudo, o Pai celestial as alimenta. N\u00e3o t\u00eam voc\u00eas muito mais valor do que elas?\u201d (Mateus 6:25-26).<\/p><p>Quarto, nos vers\u00edculos 9-10, Paulo usa a palavra <em>desejo<\/em>, que carrega a ideia de \u201ca qualquer custo\u201d ou \u201cuma determina\u00e7\u00e3o inabal\u00e1vel\u201d. O desejo de ser rico pode levar ao pecado em nossas vidas. Paulo adverte que tal desejo pode se tornar uma armadilha que conduz a paix\u00f5es e desejos nocivos, resultando em ru\u00edna e destrui\u00e7\u00e3o espiritual.<\/p><p>Em contraste, Paulo desafia Tim\u00f3teo \u2014 e a n\u00f3s \u2014 no vers\u00edculo 11 com os desejos e buscas corretos que devem caracterizar aqueles que seguem a Cristo: \u201cMas voc\u00ea, homem de Deus, fuja dessas coisas e busque a justi\u00e7a, a piedade, a f\u00e9, o amor, a paci\u00eancia e a mansid\u00e3o\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p><strong>\u00c2ncora de hoje:<\/strong><br \/>A satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o crist\u00e3 \u00e9 um estado de esp\u00edrito doce e interior, que se submete e se deleita na disposi\u00e7\u00e3o de Deus em todas as circunst\u00e2ncias.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Godliness With Contentment &#8220;Now godliness with contentment is great gain\u2026 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.&#8221;1 Timothy 6:6, 11 Godliness is often translated as piety, reverence, or likeness to God.
