Porque o seu divino poder nos deu tudo o que diz respeito \u00e0 vida e \u00e0 piedade, pelo conhecimento daquele que nos chamou por sua gl\u00f3ria e virtude\u2026\u201d<br \/><strong>2 Pedro 1:2\u20133<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>O vers\u00edculo de hoje nos lembra que recebemos tudo o que precisamos para viver a vida abundante que o Senhor Jesus conquistou para n\u00f3s com a sua morte. Por causa da Sua morte, sepultamento e ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o, somos capazes de viver uma vida semelhante \u00e0 de Cristo, que glorifica a Deus. Ele \u00e9 a fonte de toda a piedade e nos deu todos os recursos necess\u00e1rios para vivermos uma vida de piedade.<\/p><p>Tito 2:11-12 nos lembra: \u201cPorque a gra\u00e7a de Deus se manifestou trazendo salva\u00e7\u00e3o a todos os homens, ensinando-nos a renunciar \u00e0 impiedade e \u00e0s paix\u00f5es mundanas e a viver de maneira sensata, justa e piedosa nesta era presente.\u201d<\/p><p>Foi por meio do Filho de Deus que vieram \u201ca gra\u00e7a e a verdade\u201d (Jo\u00e3o 1:17). Essa mesma gra\u00e7a que nos salva tamb\u00e9m nos santifica, sustenta e fortalece para vivermos \u201cum estilo de vida que reflete consistentemente o car\u00e1ter de Deus\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Embora a capacidade de produzir uma vida piedosa n\u00e3o esteja em n\u00f3s mesmos, o Esp\u00edrito de Deus, por meio da Sua gra\u00e7a, \u00e9 capaz de produzir esse estilo de vida em cada um de n\u00f3s. A obra \u00e9 Dele; contudo, somos respons\u00e1veis por permitir que Ele opere em nossas vidas. Pedro nos diz: \u201cPorque, empenhem-se com toda a dilig\u00eancia para acrescentar \u00e0 sua f\u00e9 a virtude; \u00e0 virtude, o conhecimento; ao conhecimento, o dom\u00ednio pr\u00f3prio; ao dom\u00ednio pr\u00f3prio, a perseveran\u00e7a; \u00e0 perseveran\u00e7a, a piedade; \u00e0 piedade, a fraternidade; e \u00e0 fraternidade, o amor\u201d (2 Pedro 1:5-7).<\/p><p>O Senhor n\u00e3o quer simplesmente que tenhamos \u201cuma apar\u00eancia de piedade\u201d, negando o seu poder (2 Tim\u00f3teo 3:5). Ele deseja que demonstremos uma vida de genu\u00edna piedade. Ele \u00e9 tanto a fonte dessa piedade quanto aquele que prov\u00ea os recursos por meio da Sua Palavra e do poder do Esp\u00edrito Santo para vivermos tal vida para a Sua gl\u00f3ria.<\/p><p>Pedro tamb\u00e9m lembra seus leitores dos planos futuros de Deus para este mundo e do julgamento que aguarda aqueles que rejeitam Seu Filho. Ent\u00e3o, ele faz aos crentes esta pergunta instigante: \u201cPortanto, visto que todas essas coisas h\u00e3o de ser desfeitas, que tipo de pessoas voc\u00eas devem ser em conduta santa e piedosa?\u201d (2 Pedro 3:11).<\/p><p><strong>\u00c2ncora de hoje:<\/strong><br \/>Que possamos buscar viver vidas que reflitam o car\u00e1ter de Cristo e honrem Aquele que nos chamou por Sua gl\u00f3ria e virtude.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How Are We To Live?
