Portanto, a pergunta crucial \u00e9: o que significa temer a Deus?<\/p><p data-start=\"373\" data-end=\"856\">Quando pensamos em medo, muitas vezes associamos a palavra ao terror. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Dicion\u00e1rio Webster<\/span><\/span> O medo \u00e9 definido como \u201cum sentimento de ansiedade e agita\u00e7\u00e3o produzido pela presen\u00e7a ou proximidade de perigo, mal, dor, etc.\u201d. Para muitos, essa defini\u00e7\u00e3o descreve a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o que se tem ao ver uma cobra, ir ao m\u00e9dico ou dentista, ou se encontrar em uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o de extremo perigo. \u00c9 o pavor do desconhecido. Certamente, esse n\u00e3o \u00e9 o tipo de medo que conhecemos. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Salom\u00e3o<\/span><\/span> est\u00e1 se referindo a.<\/p><p data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"1174\">Em nossa linguagem moderna, a palavra <em data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"899\">temer<\/em>, no contexto em que \u00e9 usado por Salom\u00e3o, foi substitu\u00eddo por <em data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"982\">rever\u00eancia<\/em>, <em data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"989\">admira\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em>, e <em data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1010\">grande respeito<\/em>. O que o autor deste livro est\u00e1 dizendo \u00e9 que devemos ter profunda rever\u00eancia e respeito pelo Senhor. Literalmente, devemos nos maravilhar e nos sentir humildes diante de Sua presen\u00e7a.<\/p><p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1508\">Temer a Deus inclui \u2014 mas n\u00e3o se limita a \u2014 respeit\u00e1-Lo e reverenci\u00e1-Lo. O temor santo concede a Deus o lugar de gl\u00f3ria, honra, rever\u00eancia, gratid\u00e3o, louvor e preemin\u00eancia que Ele merece. Em outras palavras, temer a Deus \u00e9 respeitar a Sua santidade, odiando o que Ele odeia e amando o que Ele ama, com um temor saud\u00e1vel de desagrad\u00e1-Lo.<\/p><p data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"1810\">Quando tememos verdadeiramente ao Senhor, reconhecemos que Ele \u00e9 o Criador e n\u00f3s somos as criaturas. Ele \u00e9 o Mestre e n\u00f3s somos os servos. Ele \u00e9 o Pai e n\u00f3s somos os filhos. Essa atitude se manifestar\u00e1 em nosso respeito por Deus, por Sua Palavra e em nosso desejo de fazer o que Ele nos ensina na B\u00edblia.<\/p><p data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"2166\">Podemos relacionar esse tipo de medo ao medo que uma crian\u00e7a sente pelos pais. Quando o medo \u00e9 o tipo certo de medo, a crian\u00e7a entende que seus pais podem disciplin\u00e1-la em caso de desobedi\u00eancia. No entanto, acima desse medo, est\u00e1 a consci\u00eancia de que a desobedi\u00eancia entristece seus pais.
