A Testemunha Fiel<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jesus Cristo, a fiel testemunha, o primog\u00eanito dentre os mortos e o soberano sobre os reis da terra. \u00c0quele que nos amou e nos lavou dos nossos pecados com o seu sangue, e nos constituiu reis e sacerdotes para o seu Deus e Pai, a Ele seja a gl\u00f3ria e o dom\u00ednio pelos s\u00e9culos dos s\u00e9culos. Am\u00e9m.
Apocalipse 1:5-6<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>

Nos vers\u00edculos de hoje, Jo\u00e3o nos d\u00e1 raz\u00f5es para exaltar o Senhor Jesus. A primeira raz\u00e3o \u00e9 que Ele \u00e9 a testemunha fiel. H\u00e1 pelo menos tr\u00eas vezes no livro do Apocalipse em que Jo\u00e3o usa a express\u00e3o \u201cfiel\u201d em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao Senhor Jesus (1:4-5; 3:14; 19:11). Aqui, Ele \u00e9 a testemunha fiel. Houve muitas testemunhas nesta cena para a gl\u00f3ria de Deus, mas nenhuma delas era isenta de falhas. Somente Um era perfeito, sem m\u00e1cula ou defeito, e somente Um poderia ser chamado de testemunha fiel. Da manjedoura \u00e0 cruz, Ele foi inabal\u00e1vel em Seu servi\u00e7o. Aos doze anos, ouvimos Ele dizer: \u201cN\u00e3o sab\u00edeis que me convinha estar na casa de meu Pai?\u201d (Lc 2:49). Esta testemunha fiel exclamou: \u201cA minha comida \u00e9 fazer a vontade daquele que me enviou e concluir a sua obra\u201d (Jo 4:34). Ele era o servo dependente que se levantava de manh\u00e3 cedo para receber a dire\u00e7\u00e3o de Seu Pai (Mc 1,35). Como testemunha fiel, Ele declarava: \u201cPara isso nasci e para isso vim ao mundo, para dar testemunho da verdade\u201d (Jo 18,37).<\/p>

Jo\u00e3o usa a palavra testemunha pelo menos 72 vezes em seus escritos, principalmente referindo-se ao Senhor. Em Apocalipse 3:14, vemos Ele como a \u201cTestemunha Fiel e Verdadeira\u201d, em contraste com uma igreja professa que deveria ser Sua testemunha at\u00e9 o Seu retorno (Atos 1:8); contudo, a igreja falhou em ser uma testemunha verdadeira. Em Apocalipse 19:11, Ele \u00e9 visto como o \u201cFiel e Verdadeiro\u201d que julgar\u00e1 com justi\u00e7a!<\/p>

Jo\u00e3o come\u00e7a a exaltar o Senhor Jesus, lembrando-nos que, enquanto esteve aqui, Cristo foi a testemunha fiel da gl\u00f3ria de Deus!<\/p>
