Ele n\u00e3o se extinguir\u00e1. <\/em><br \/><em><strong>Isa\u00edas 42:3<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Quando uma l\u00e2mpada queimava at\u00e9 o fim do pavio, ela apenas crepitava e soltava fuma\u00e7a, sem produzir luz alguma. Como um pavio t\u00e3o fumegante era in\u00fatil, era apagado e jogado fora. O pavio fumegante representa pessoas cujas vidas est\u00e3o desgastadas; delas emana mais fuma\u00e7a do que luz. Seu testemunho tornou-se ineficaz. Talvez voc\u00ea se sinta como um pavio fumegante. Sua luz diminuiu at\u00e9 virar apenas fuma\u00e7a, quase se apagando? Voc\u00ea est\u00e1 desanimado porque sua luz n\u00e3o brilha com intensidade?<\/p><p>Nossos fracassos nunca precisam ser definitivos! Jo\u00e3o Marcos brilhava intensamente em certo momento, mas come\u00e7ou a perder a for\u00e7a. Ele deixou Paulo e Barnab\u00e9 durante a primeira viagem mission\u00e1ria deles e voltou para casa (Atos 13:13). Mas, mais tarde, Paulo p\u00f4de escrever que Marcos lhe foi \u00fatil para o minist\u00e9rio (2 Tim\u00f3teo 4:11). Quantas vezes vimos nossa luz quase se extinguir? Quantas vezes fomos apenas fuma\u00e7a, sem luz alguma, com nossa f\u00e9 e nosso testemunho enfraquecendo ao longo da jornada da vida? Teria sido f\u00e1cil para o Senhor extinguir nossa fraca chama e simplesmente nos apagar, mas Ele est\u00e1 sempre disposto a nos perdoar, nos restaurar e nos reacender quando o invocamos, confessando nossos pecados (1 Jo\u00e3o 1:9).<\/p><p>Ele jamais apagar\u00e1 uma mecha fumegante, mas a avivar\u00e1 at\u00e9 que se transforme em chama. A palavra <em>extinguir<\/em> Significa \u201capagar ou extinguir\u201d. O Senhor n\u00e3o extingue aquela chama fraca. Ele n\u00e3o a consome sem cuidado. Em vez disso, Ele vem para aparar e reacender sua chama fraca.
