Se eu sou o Pai, onde est\u00e1 a minha honra? E se eu sou o Senhor, onde est\u00e1 o temor que me inspira? Diz o Senhor dos Ex\u00e9rcitos a v\u00f3s, sacerdotes, que desprezais o meu nome. E v\u00f3s dizeis: Em que desprezamos o teu nome?\u201c<\/em><br \/><strong><em>Malaquias 1:6<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"465\">Como resultado de perderem de vista o amor de Deus, o povo come\u00e7ou a esquecer a grandeza de Deus e desprezou o Seu nome. Malaquias 1:6\u20132:9 dirige-se especificamente aos sacerdotes, que deveriam ter ensinado o povo a honrar o car\u00e1ter e a reputa\u00e7\u00e3o de Deus. Em vez disso, trataram essas coisas como se tivessem pouco valor.<\/p><p data-start=\"467\" data-end=\"746\">O nome do Senhor representa tudo o que Ele \u00e9 \u2014 Seus atributos, Sua divindade e Sua majestade. Malaquias usou a frase <em data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"588\">\u201c&quot;O meu nome&quot;\u201d<\/em> pelo menos oito vezes para convencer os padres de sua neglig\u00eancia. Quando perguntaram, <em data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"711\">\u201cDe que maneira temos desprezado o teu nome?\u201d<\/em> Malaquias respondeu-lhes de duas maneiras.<\/p><p data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"994\">Primeiro, os sacerdotes ofereciam ao Senhor o que poder\u00edamos chamar de \u201csobras\u201d (Malaquias 1:6-14). Eles traziam animais doentes e aleijados \u2014 ofertas que nem mesmo apresentariam ao governador. Como ousavam oferecer tais coisas ao Senhor?<\/p><p data-start=\"996\" data-end=\"1477\">Antes de os julgarmos com muita severidade, devemos examinar as nossas pr\u00f3prias vidas. H\u00e1 \u00e1reas em que estamos a dar ao Senhor as nossas sobras? Tratamos o Seu nome como algo de pouco valor? \u00c9 f\u00e1cil dar-Lhe o domingo \u2014 e talvez uma noite durante a semana \u2014 mas o Senhor deseja que nos apresentemos como sacrif\u00edcios vivos, santos e agrad\u00e1veis a Ele, todos os dias das nossas vidas (Romanos 12:1). Podemos facilmente esquecer que todas as \u00e1reas das nossas vidas devem ser coerentes com a honra do Seu nome.<\/p><p data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1761\">Em segundo lugar, esses sacerdotes estavam se apropriando do melhor para si mesmos. Haviam perdido de vista o privil\u00e9gio de serem representantes de Deus e se afastado da Sua lei (Malaquias 2:1-9). Malaquias 2:5-7 descreve seis caracter\u00edsticas essenciais para qualquer pessoa que deseje representar a Deus fielmente.<\/p><p data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"2448\">Primeiro, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio um temor reverente ao Senhor. Quando isso se perde, nossa luz se apaga e nossa influ\u00eancia em um mundo tenebroso diminui consideravelmente. Segundo, devemos conhecer a verdade e proclam\u00e1-la. As Escrituras nos exortam a nos apresentarmos a Deus como obreiros que n\u00e3o t\u00eam do que se envergonhar, que manejam corretamente a palavra da verdade e a preguem fielmente (2 Tim\u00f3teo 2:15; 4:2). Terceiro, somos chamados a nos afastar do pecado e a permanecer separados dele: <em data-start=\"2217\" data-end=\"2245\">\u201cFujam tamb\u00e9m das paix\u00f5es da juventude\u201d<\/em> (2 Tim\u00f3teo 2:22). Quarto, devemos caminhar diariamente com Deus em Sua Palavra e em ora\u00e7\u00e3o. Quinto, devemos apontar outros para Cristo, n\u00e3o para n\u00f3s mesmos. Sexto, nunca devemos esquecer que somos mensageiros do Senhor.<\/p><p data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2657\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><strong>\u00c2ncora de hoje:<\/strong><br \/>Os sacerdotes nos dias de Malaquias falharam nessas responsabilidades essenciais e desonraram a Deus. Que o Senhor nos ajude a crescer em rever\u00eancia por quem Ele \u00e9 e pela graciosa voca\u00e7\u00e3o para a qual Ele nos trouxe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Honoring The Lord&#8217;s Name \u201c\u201cA son honors his father, And a servant his master.
