\u201cEu sou o Caminho, a Verdade e a Vida. Ningu\u00e9m vem ao Pai sen\u00e3o por mim.\u201d<\/em>
Jo\u00e3o 14:6<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

Esta declara\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 uma das sete afirma\u00e7\u00f5es "Eu Sou" de Jesus. Na noite anterior \u00e0 sua ida ao Calv\u00e1rio, o Senhor Jesus preparou seus disc\u00edpulos para os dias que viriam. Esses homens o seguiam havia mais de tr\u00eas anos, aprendendo com seus ensinamentos e exemplo. Eles haviam depositado suas esperan\u00e7as nele como o Messias, o Libertador prometido, mas ainda n\u00e3o entendiam como ele realizaria essa liberta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>

Ap\u00f3s a refei\u00e7\u00e3o da P\u00e1scoa, o Senhor come\u00e7ou a falar sobre a Sua partida, o que gerou perguntas dos Seus disc\u00edpulos. Jo\u00e3o 13:33<\/em>, Jesus disse:<\/p>

\u201cFilhinhos, estarei convosco ainda por um pouco de tempo. V\u00f3s me buscareis; e, como eu disse aos judeus: \u2018Para onde eu vou, v\u00f3s n\u00e3o podeis ir\u2019, assim tamb\u00e9m agora vos digo.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Isso levou Pedro a perguntar para onde Ele estava indo (Jo\u00e3o 13:36<\/em>Pedro e os outros n\u00e3o entenderam que Jesus estava falando de Sua morte e ascens\u00e3o ao c\u00e9u. Jesus respondeu:, \u201cPara onde eu vou, voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode me seguir agora, mas me seguir\u00e1 mais tarde.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Pedro \u00e9 o primeiro dos quatro disc\u00edpulos a fazer perguntas em resposta \u00e0 declara\u00e7\u00e3o de Jesus no vers\u00edculo 33: Peter<\/strong> (13:36\u201314:4<\/em>); Thomas<\/strong> (14:5\u20137<\/em>); Filipe<\/strong> (14:7\u201321<\/em>); Judas<\/strong> (n\u00e3o Iscariotes) (14:22\u201331<\/em>);<\/p>

\u00c9 interessante notar que parte da tradi\u00e7\u00e3o da P\u00e1scoa envolvia um momento para fazer perguntas (\u00caxodo 12:26-27<\/em>Ainda sem entender, Pedro declarou que seguiria o Senhor para qualquer lugar, mesmo que isso significasse dar a pr\u00f3pria vida. Os disc\u00edpulos ficaram claramente perturbados e tristes em seus cora\u00e7\u00f5es (Jo\u00e3o 14:1, 27; 16:6, 20\u201322<\/em>), dando-nos uma ideia da atmosfera sombria e s\u00e9ria no c\u00f4modo superior.<\/p>

Em sua resposta, o Senhor Jesus oferece uma resposta tr\u00edplice para confortar e instruir seus disc\u00edpulos:<\/p>

O Objeto da Nossa F\u00e9 \u2013 Sua Pessoa: <\/strong>\u201cVoc\u00eas creem em Deus, creiam tamb\u00e9m em mim.\u201d<\/em> (<\/span>Jo\u00e3o 14:1<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

A promessa de um lar celestial: <\/strong>\u201cNa casa de meu Pai h\u00e1 muitas moradas\u2026\u201d<\/em> (<\/span>Jo\u00e3o 14:2<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

A Perspectiva de Seu Retorno: <\/strong>\u201cVoltarei e vos receberei em Mim mesmo\u2026\u201d<\/em> (<\/span>Jo\u00e3o 14:3<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

Ent\u00e3o o Senhor disse:, \u201cE para onde eu vou, voc\u00ea sabe, e o caminho que voc\u00ea conhece\u201d<\/em> (Jo\u00e3o 14:4<\/em>Falando em nome dos outros, Tom\u00e9 respondeu que eles n\u00e3o sabiam para onde Ele estava indo e, portanto, n\u00e3o podiam saber o caminho.<\/p>

Em resposta, Jesus proferiu a sexta de suas sete declara\u00e7\u00f5es "Eu Sou":<\/p>

\u201cEu sou o Caminho, a Verdade e a Vida. Ningu\u00e9m vem ao Pai sen\u00e3o por mim.\u201d<\/em> (Jo\u00e3o 14:6<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>
