Esta palavra \u00e9 fiel e digna de toda aceita\u00e7\u00e3o: que Cristo Jesus veio ao mundo para salvar os pecadores, dos quais eu sou o principal.

<\/em><\/p>

H\u00e1 mais neste vers\u00edculo do que aparenta. Nesta se\u00e7\u00e3o de 1 Tim\u00f3teo, Paulo fala sobre a gra\u00e7a de Deus. Ele j\u00e1 havia destacado a grandeza da gra\u00e7a de Deus nos vers\u00edculos 12-13 por t\u00ea-lo colocado no minist\u00e9rio, mesmo tendo perseguido a igreja como blasfemo e insolente. Ent\u00e3o, no vers\u00edculo 14, ele proclama:, \u201cE a gra\u00e7a de nosso Senhor transbordou sobremaneira, juntamente com a f\u00e9 e o amor que est\u00e3o em Cristo Jesus.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

A gra\u00e7a de Deus havia tomado conta do cora\u00e7\u00e3o e da vida de Paulo, e agora ele podia dizer:, \u201cEsta palavra \u00e9 fiel e digna de toda aceita\u00e7\u00e3o: que Cristo Jesus veio ao mundo para salvar os pecadores, dos quais eu sou o principal.\u201d<\/em> A frase \u201cPalavra fiel e digna de toda aceita\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d<\/em> \u00c9 uma express\u00e3o exclusiva das Ep\u00edstolas Pastorais e aparece cinco vezes (1 Tim\u00f3teo 1:15; 3:1; 4:9; 2 Tim\u00f3teo 2:11; Tito 3:8). Paulo usou essa express\u00e3o para enfatizar a import\u00e2ncia de doutrinas fundamentais.<\/p>

Aqui, Paulo nos apresenta Cristo Jesus\u2014Cristo<\/em>, o Ungido, e Jesus<\/em>, Seu nome humano \u2014 dado porque Ele veio \u201cpara salvar o Seu povo dos seus pecados\u201d<\/em> (Mateus 1:21). O fato de Ele veio<\/em> Significa que Ele existia antes de vir. Como Filho eterno de Deus, Cristo entrou no mundo (Jo\u00e3o 1:9; 3:19; 6:14; 11:27; 12:46; 16:28; 18:37). Jo\u00e3o enfatiza repetidamente em seu Evangelho que Jesus desceu do c\u00e9u. Esta \u00e9 a gra\u00e7a de Deus que traz salva\u00e7\u00e3o e se manifestou a todos os homens (Tito 2:11). Em Lucas 19:10, o Senhor Jesus disse:, \u201c"Pois o Filho do Homem veio buscar e salvar o que estava perdido."\u201d<\/em> Em Mateus 9:13, Ele disse:, \u201cEu n\u00e3o vim chamar os justos, mas os pecadores.\u201d<\/em> Em Jo\u00e3o 12:46, nosso Senhor declarou:, \u201cEu vim como uma luz para o mundo.\u201d<\/em> Em Jo\u00e3o 3:16-17 lemos, \u201c"Porque Deus amou o mundo de tal maneira que deu o seu Filho unig\u00eanito, para que todo aquele que nele cr\u00ea n\u00e3o pere\u00e7a, mas tenha a vida eterna. Pois Deus enviou o seu Filho ao mundo, n\u00e3o para condenar o mundo, mas para que o mundo fosse salvo por meio dele."\u201d<\/em><\/p>

A B\u00edblia nos diz que \u201ctodos pecaram e est\u00e3o destitu\u00eddos da gl\u00f3ria de Deus\u201d,\u201d<\/em> E Cristo veio ao mundo para salvar os pecadores. A gra\u00e7a de Deus \u00e9 poderosa o suficiente para nos redimir do cativeiro do pecado e nos libertar. \u201cfazer novas todas as coisas\u201d<\/em> Fazendo-nos novas criaturas em Cristo Jesus. Deus n\u00e3o apenas nos aceita no Amado, mas tamb\u00e9m deseja nos usar para a Sua gl\u00f3ria \u2014 assim como fez com Paulo.<\/p>

Como estamos respondendo \u00e0 gra\u00e7a de Deus em nossas vidas?<\/p>
