Ent\u00e3o os escribas e fariseus trouxeram-lhe uma mulher apanhada em adult\u00e9rio. E, colocando-a no meio deles, disseram-lhe: "Mestre, esta mulher foi apanhada em flagrante adult\u00e9rio. Ora, Mois\u00e9s, na Lei, ordenou que tais mulheres fossem apedrejadas. Mas tu, o que dizes?"\u201c
Jo\u00e3o 8:3-5<\/strong>
<\/em><\/p>


Este encontro com a mulher flagrada em adult\u00e9rio ocupa os primeiros onze vers\u00edculos de Jo\u00e3o 8. Ele inicia um cap\u00edtulo repleto de contrastes e conflitos: gra\u00e7a e lei (vv. 1-11), luz e trevas (vv. 12-20), vida e morte (vv. 21-30), liberdade e escravid\u00e3o (vv. 31-47), honra e desonra (vv. 48-59). Mas come\u00e7a com essa mulher tendo um encontro direto e transformador com o Senhor Jesus.<\/p>

Em contraste com a mulher com hemorragia \u2014 mencionada em Mateus 9, Marcos 5 e Lucas 8 \u2014 que veio voluntariamente e com expectativa ao Senhor Jesus, esta mulher n\u00e3o veio por escolha pr\u00f3pria. Ela foi... for\u00e7ado<\/em> para vir, arrastado para os p\u00e1tios do templo ap\u00f3s ser flagrado em pleno ato de adult\u00e9rio. Toda a cena parece quase encenada, porque a primeira pergunta que deve ser feita \u00e9: Onde est\u00e1 o homem?<\/strong><\/p>

A lei estabelecia claramente que ambos<\/em> Os participantes flagrados em adult\u00e9rio deveriam ser responsabilizados (Lev\u00edtico 20:10; Deuteron\u00f4mio 22:22). Ent\u00e3o, por que somente a mulher era levada \u00e0 presen\u00e7a do juiz? O texto d\u00e1 a resposta: \u201cDisseram isso para o p\u00f4r \u00e0 prova, a fim de terem de que o acusar.\u201d<\/em> (v. 6).<\/p>

Essa mulher estava sendo usada como isca em sua tentativa de prender o Senhor Jesus. Contudo, o Senhor conhecia a todos e sabia o que havia em seus cora\u00e7\u00f5es (Jo\u00e3o 2:24-25). Ele conhecia o cora\u00e7\u00e3o de seus acusadores e o cora\u00e7\u00e3o da mulher que estava diante Dele.<\/p>

Em vez de julg\u00e1-la imediatamente, Ele a julgou. os ju\u00edzes<\/strong> e disse, \u201cAquele que dentre v\u00f3s estiver sem pecado seja o primeiro a atirar uma pedra nela.\u201d <\/em>De acordo com a Lei, os acusadores deveriam atirar as primeiras pedras (Deuteron\u00f4mio 17:7). Condenados por suas pr\u00f3prias consci\u00eancias, eles come\u00e7aram a sair \u2014 come\u00e7ando pelo mais velho e terminando pelo mais novo (v. 9).<\/p>

A mulher ficou sozinha com o Senhor Jesus. Ele, o Sem pecado, era a \u00fanica pessoa presente que tinha o direito de conden\u00e1-la. Talvez ela esperasse que o julgamento proferisse Seus l\u00e1bios justos. Mas, em vez disso, ouviu estas palavras de gra\u00e7a: \u201cNem eu te condeno; vai e n\u00e3o peques mais.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

Sua santa presen\u00e7a exp\u00f4s todos os cora\u00e7\u00f5es naquele dia, e Ele continua a declarar:, \u201cEu sou a luz do mundo. Quem me segue n\u00e3o andar\u00e1 em trevas, mas ter\u00e1 a luz da vida.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Oh! Que Salvador \u00e9 Jesus, o Senhor!,
Que o Seu nome seja adorado pelos Seus santos!
Ele os resgatou do inferno com o Seu sangue,
Salvou-os para sempre e os conduziu a Deus.<\/p>

Agora, na gl\u00f3ria que Ele aguarda para conceder.
Paz para a consci\u00eancia e alegria para o cora\u00e7\u00e3o \u2014
Aguarda para ser misericordioso, para perdoar e curar.
Todos aqueles que sentem o seu pecado e a sua mis\u00e9ria.<\/p>

Milhares fugiram para o Seu lado transpassado por lan\u00e7as,
Todos foram bem-vindos, ningu\u00e9m foi rejeitado;
Cansados e sobrecarregados, todos foram aben\u00e7oados.,
