E, tendo feito isso, apanharam uma grande quantidade de peixes, e a rede come\u00e7ou a romper-se. Ent\u00e3o, fizeram sinal aos companheiros no outro barco para que viessem ajud\u00e1-los. E eles vieram e encheram ambos os barcos, de modo que come\u00e7aram a afundar.
Lucas 5:6-7<\/strong>
<\/em><\/p>

Ao analisarmos o encontro de Pedro com Cristo em Lucas 5:1-11, j\u00e1 perguntamos:, \u201cComo reagimos ao fracasso?\u201d<\/em> (vv. 1\u20132), e \u201cComo reagimos \u00e0 autoridade?\u201d<\/em> (vv. 3\u20135). Uma terceira quest\u00e3o que podemos levantar a partir desta passagem \u00e9:, \u201cComo reagimos ao sucesso?\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Ao obedecer \u00e0 palavra do Senhor, Pedro descobriu que o Senhor \u00e9 capaz de fazer \u201cinfinitamente mais do que tudo quanto pedimos ou pensamos\u201d (Ef\u00e9sios 3:20). A pesca foi t\u00e3o abundante que as redes come\u00e7aram a se romper e, mesmo depois de pedirem socorro, ambos os barcos come\u00e7aram a afundar sob o peso da b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>

O sucesso \u00e9 algo complicado para muitos de n\u00f3s. Pode levar ao orgulho, fazendo-nos pensar que n\u00f3s<\/em> Conquistar algo com nossas pr\u00f3prias for\u00e7as pode nos fazer perder de vista Aquele que \u00e9 a verdadeira fonte de toda b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o. Pode at\u00e9 nos isolar, afastando-nos dos outros. Mas a resposta de Pedro \u00e9 muito instrutiva.<\/p>

Primeiro, ele pediu ajuda a outros, o que permitiu que eles tamb\u00e9m compartilhassem da b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o. As Escrituras ensinam esse princ\u00edpio tanto no Antigo quanto no Novo Testamento (G\u00eanesis 12:2; Atos 20:35; Lucas 6:38).<\/p>

Em seguida, Pedro foi humilhado pela bondade do Senhor para com ele. \u00c9 a bondade de Deus que nos leva ao arrependimento (Romanos 2:4). Pedro se viu claramente \u00e0 luz da gra\u00e7a de Deus e respondeu:, \u201c"Quando Sim\u00e3o Pedro viu isso, prostrou-se aos p\u00e9s de Jesus e disse: 'Afasta-te de mim, Senhor, porque sou um homem pecador!'"\u2019 <\/em>Quando vislumbramos a bondade, a grandeza e a gl\u00f3ria do Senhor, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 espa\u00e7o para orgulho, arrog\u00e2ncia ou ego\u00edsmo. Vemos isso claramente ilustrado em Isa\u00edas 6.<\/p>

Por fim, lemos no vers\u00edculo 9: \u201c"Pois ele e todos os que estavam com ele ficaram admirados com a quantidade de peixes que haviam pescado."\u201d <\/em>A obedi\u00eancia ao Senhor resulta em vidas que testemunham a grandeza do nosso Deus \u2014 e esse testemunho transborda para os outros!<\/p>

Tudo isso aconteceu porque a resposta de Pedro \u00e0 autoridade do Senhor foi: \u201c\u00c0 tua palavra\u201d.
