\u00c1gua viva para uma alma sedenta<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ele saiu da Judeia e voltou para a Galileia. Mas precisava passar por Samaria. Chegou, ent\u00e3o, a uma cidade samaritana chamada Sicar, perto das terras que Jac\u00f3 dera a seu filho Jos\u00e9\u2026 Uma mulher samaritana veio tirar \u00e1gua. Jesus lhe disse: \u201cD\u00ea-me de beber\u201d. Pois os seus disc\u00edpulos tinham ido \u00e0 cidade comprar comida. Ent\u00e3o a mulher samaritana lhe disse: \u201cComo \u00e9 que tu, sendo judeu, pedes \u00e1gua a mim, uma samaritana?\u201d Pois os judeus n\u00e3o se d\u00e3o com os samaritanos.

<\/em><\/p>


Esse encontro com Cristo \u00e9 muito precioso. Ele nos lembra que, n\u00e3o importa qu\u00e3o conturbado seja o nosso passado, ele nunca est\u00e1 fora do alcance de um Deus amoroso e misericordioso.<\/p>

A mulher samaritana que encontrou o Senhor Jesus no po\u00e7o de Sicar veio simplesmente para tirar \u00e1gua. Provavelmente, ela trouxe consigo c\u00e2ntaros vazios \u2014 s\u00edmbolos de sua pr\u00f3pria vida: vazia e \u00e1rida. Ela vinha buscando amor e aceita\u00e7\u00e3o, tendo experimentado diversos relacionamentos \u2014 cinco maridos e agora vivendo com um homem que n\u00e3o era seu marido (4:17-18). Cada experi\u00eancia a deixava com o mesmo anseio profundo e insatisfeito em seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>

Agora ela conhece outro homem \u2014 mas este \u00e9 diferente. Ele est\u00e1 disposto a transpor todas as barreiras raciais e sociais. Embora fosse judeu, ele a convidou, uma samaritana com um passado conturbado, para beber algo. Isso a intrigou profundamente. Contudo, ela percebeu que aquele homem era diferente \u2014 pelo jeito como a olhava e como falava com ela. Ele n\u00e3o se deteve nas barreiras de ra\u00e7a ou posi\u00e7\u00e3o social; em vez disso, olhou diretamente para o seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o e falou \u00e0 sua necessidade mais profunda.<\/p>

\u201cJesus respondeu: \u2018Se voc\u00ea conhecesse o dom de Deus e quem est\u00e1 lhe pedindo \u00e1gua, voc\u00ea lhe teria pedido, e ele lhe teria dado \u00e1gua viva\u201c\u201d (4:10).<\/p>

Suas palavras a confundiram ainda mais: \u201cSenhor, o Senhor n\u00e3o tem com o que tirar \u00e1gua, e o po\u00e7o \u00e9 fundo. De onde, ent\u00e3o, o Senhor vai tirar essa \u00e1gua viva?\u201d Ela tentou mudar de assunto, mencionando diferen\u00e7as de religi\u00e3o e culto, mas o Senhor Jesus continuou a se concentrar na necessidade do seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/p>

\u201c"Quem beber desta \u00e1gua tornar\u00e1 a ter sede; mas quem beber da \u00e1gua que eu lhe der nunca mais ter\u00e1 sede. Ao contr\u00e1rio, a \u00e1gua que eu lhe der se tornar\u00e1 nele uma fonte de \u00e1gua a jorrar para a vida eterna."\u201d<\/p>

Ela prosseguiu falando sobre adora\u00e7\u00e3o, e o Senhor a lembrou \u2014 e a cada leitor \u2014 que todos n\u00f3s fomos criados exatamente para esse prop\u00f3sito. Mas a verdadeira adora\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o se encontra na religi\u00e3o; ela se encontra em um relacionamento com o Deus vivo \u2014 Aquele que a criou.<\/p>
