E Ele lhes disse: "Por que voc\u00eas me procuravam? N\u00e3o sabiam que eu devia estar na casa de meu Pai?"\u201c
Lucas 2:49<\/strong>
<\/em><\/p>

Este \u00e9, sem d\u00favida, um dos primeiros relatos de um encontro com o Senhor Jesus. Ele era apenas um menino, com doze anos de idade. Este \u00e9 o \u00fanico registro que temos do Senhor Jesus em sua juventude. Desde o seu nascimento at\u00e9 o in\u00edcio de seu minist\u00e9rio p\u00fablico, este \u00e9 o \u00fanico relato escrito. Sendo isso verdade, nos diz muito e \u00e9 um momento muito instrutivo \u2014 especialmente para Maria!<\/p>

Desde o momento em que o anjo lhe apareceu, anunciando o nascimento do Senhor Jesus, Maria teve muitas coisas em que ponderar. Isso transparece lindamente em seu c\u00e2ntico em Lucas 1:46-55. Ela canta sobre sua necessidade de um Salvador (vv. 46-47) e sobre sua disposi\u00e7\u00e3o de magnificar o Senhor com sua alma, esp\u00edrito e corpo (vv. 46-48). Ela louva a Deus (vv. 46-48) por seu poder e miseric\u00f3rdia (vv. 49-50), sua provid\u00eancia e soberania (vv. 51-53) e por suas promessas e fidelidade em cumpri-las (vv. 54-55).<\/p>

Mas agora, anos se passaram, e seu filho tem doze anos. Lemos: \u201cEle crescia e se fortalecia em esp\u00edrito, cheio de sabedoria, e a gra\u00e7a de Deus estava sobre ele\u201d (Lucas 2:40). O costume desse casal devoto e piedoso era ir a Jerusal\u00e9m todos os anos para a Festa da P\u00e1scoa. Pelo relato, aprendemos que eles viajavam em uma caravana com outras pessoas. \u201cSupondo que ele estivesse entre os companheiros de viagem, caminharam um dia inteiro e o procuraram entre os parentes e conhecidos. Como n\u00e3o o encontraram, voltaram a Jerusal\u00e9m em busca dele. Tr\u00eas dias depois, o encontraram no templo, sentado no meio dos mestres, ouvindo-os e fazendo-lhes perguntas. Todos os que o ouviam ficavam admirados com a sua intelig\u00eancia e as suas respostas. Quando o viram, ficaram perplexos. Ent\u00e3o sua m\u00e3e lhe disse: \u2018Filho, por que fizeste isso conosco? Teu pai e eu est\u00e1vamos muito aflitos procurando por ti\u2019\u201d.\u201d<\/p>

O Senhor Jesus respondeu: \u201cPor que voc\u00eas me procuravam? N\u00e3o sabiam que eu devia estar na casa de meu Pai?\u201d Aqui, o Senhor Jesus declara muito claramente por que veio a este mundo. Em Jo\u00e3o 4:34, ouvimos Ele dizer: \u201cA minha comida \u00e9 fazer a vontade daquele que me enviou e concluir a sua obra\u201d (veja tamb\u00e9m Jo\u00e3o 6:38; 17:4; 19:30).<\/p>

Maria guardou esse encontro em seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o, ou seja, refletiu sobre tudo o que havia acontecido. Sem d\u00favida, quando estava aos p\u00e9s da cruz, todas essas lembran\u00e7as lhe vieram \u00e0 mente (Jo\u00e3o 19:25).<\/p>

O Senhor Jesus veio para fazer a vontade do Pai e concluir a Sua obra. E Ele a cumpriu!
