\u201cComo ovelhas s\u00e3o lan\u00e7adas na sepultura; a morte se alimentar\u00e1 delas; os retos as dominar\u00e3o pela manh\u00e3; e a sua formosura se consumir\u00e1 na sepultura, longe da sua morada. Mas Deus redimir\u00e1 a minha alma do poder da sepultura, porque Ele me receber\u00e1. (Sel\u00e1).\u201d<\/em>
Salmo 49:14-15<\/strong><\/p>

Ao ler o Salmo 49, voc\u00ea ouvir\u00e1 o autor nos aconselhar a n\u00e3o depositar nossa confian\u00e7a nas riquezas. Este \u00e9 um salmo escrito para todo<\/em> caminho da vida\u2014\u201ca todos os povos\u201d<\/em> e \u201ctodos os habitantes do mundo\u201d<\/em> (v. 1). Aplica-se tanto a ricos quanto a pobres (v. 2), a nobres e humildes (v. 2), a s\u00e1bios e insensatos (v. 10). O salmo nos lembra que n\u00e3o podemos levar nossas riquezas conosco, portanto n\u00e3o devemos fazer delas o objetivo de nossas vidas, nem devemos invejar os ricos. O salmista adverte os piedosos a n\u00e3o invejarem os \u00edmpios em sua prosperidade nem se deixarem seduzir por suas posses.<\/p>

J\u00e1 se disse muitas vezes, \u201cVoc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode levar isso consigo \u2014 voc\u00ea nunca v\u00ea um caminh\u00e3o da U-Haul atr\u00e1s de um carro funer\u00e1rio.\u201d<\/em> Todos deixar\u00e3o tudo para tr\u00e1s. \u00c9 por isso que \u00e9 importante n\u00e3o viver apenas para o presente. aqui e agora,<\/em> mas viver agora com eternidade<\/em> \u00e0 vista. O Senhor Jesus disse, \u201cN\u00e3o acumulem para voc\u00eas tesouros na terra, onde a tra\u00e7a e a ferrugem destroem, e onde os ladr\u00f5es arrombam e furtam. Mas acumulem para voc\u00eas tesouros no c\u00e9u, onde a tra\u00e7a e a ferrugem n\u00e3o destroem, e onde os ladr\u00f5es n\u00e3o arrombam nem furtam. Pois onde estiver o seu tesouro, a\u00ed tamb\u00e9m estar\u00e1 o seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o.\u201d<\/em> (Mateus 6:19-21).<\/p>

O Salmo 49 tamb\u00e9m apresenta outra verdade s\u00f3bria, por\u00e9m necess\u00e1ria: A morte chega para todos n\u00f3s.<\/em> Todos n\u00f3s morreremos e sepultaremos, a menos que o Senhor retorne primeiro. O salmista nos diz que o homem, como um animal, ser\u00e1 sepultado (v. 12), e a morte consumir\u00e1 seu corpo f\u00edsico. Nossos corpos \u2014 embora feitos de maneira admir\u00e1vel e maravilhosa \u2014 se decompor\u00e3o na sepultura. Mas os retos, aqueles que n\u00e3o confiaram nas riquezas, mas no Senhor, ter\u00e3o uma beleza eterna. al\u00e9m da sepultura.<\/em><\/p>

\u00c9 aqui que o nosso "Mas Deus" aparece. O salmista enfatiza duas verdades:<\/p>

O Senhor redimir\u00e1 a alma dos retos do poder da sepultura.<\/strong>
Para n\u00f3s, isso s\u00f3 \u00e9 poss\u00edvel atrav\u00e9s da obra consumada do Senhor Jesus Cristo (Hebreus 2:14-15).<\/p>

O Senhor receber\u00e1 a alma dos redimidos.<\/strong>
Que maravilha ter a certeza de que qualquer pessoa e todos<\/em> Quem deposita sua confian\u00e7a em Cristo ser\u00e1 recebido por Ele (Jo\u00e3o 6:37, 39).<\/p>
