\u201cEles se recusaram a obedecer e n\u00e3o se lembraram das maravilhas que realizaste entre eles. Em rebeldia, endureceram a cerviz e escolheram um l\u00edder para retornar \u00e0 escravid\u00e3o. Mas tu \u00e9s Deus, pronto para perdoar, compassivo e misericordioso, tardio em irar-se e cheio de amor, e n\u00e3o os abandonaste.\u201d<\/em>
Neemias 9:17<\/strong><\/p>

A hist\u00f3ria da na\u00e7\u00e3o de Israel em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao seu Deus tem sido como uma montanha-russa. Num instante, eles imploram ao Senhor por liberta\u00e7\u00e3o e, assim que Ele responde \u00e0s suas ora\u00e7\u00f5es, come\u00e7am a desobedec\u00ea-Lo. Vemos esse padr\u00e3o claramente ao longo de toda a sua trajet\u00f3ria. \u00caxodo<\/em>, N\u00fameros<\/em>, e Ju\u00edzes<\/em> Em particular. Devido \u00e0 sua cont\u00ednua desobedi\u00eancia, o Senhor permitiu que fossem levados para o cativeiro por setenta anos. Perto do fim desses setenta anos, o Senhor trouxe um remanescente de volta \u00e0 terra para reconstru\u00ed-la. Vemos essa reconstru\u00e7\u00e3o nos livros de Neemias<\/em> e Esdras.<\/em><\/p>

Em Neemias 9<\/em>, lemos uma maravilhosa ora\u00e7\u00e3o de Neemias \u2014 uma das doze ora\u00e7\u00f5es registradas no livro. Isso nos lembra que o caminho da recupera\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 atrav\u00e9s do arrependimento. Neste cap\u00edtulo, Neemias reconta a hist\u00f3ria de Israel e, no vers\u00edculo de hoje, ele tem em mente especificamente o que encontramos em N\u00fameros 14.<\/em> Ao vermos a falha de Israel em confiar e obedecer, tamb\u00e9m aprendemos algo sobre o nosso Deus! Ele est\u00e1 pronto para perdoar. Ele \u00e9 gracioso e misericordioso. Ele \u00e9 tardio em irar-se e abundante em bondade para com o Seu povo. A Sua pr\u00f3pria natureza n\u00e3o Lhe permite abandonar os Seus!<\/p>

Mesmo quando eles deixaram de seguir a Deus, Ele permaneceu fiel, pois n\u00e3o pode negar a Si mesmo. Foi isso que Paulo escreveu a Tim\u00f3teo em 2 Tim\u00f3teo 2:13.<\/em> O vers\u00edculo de hoje nos lembra da pr\u00f3pria natureza e car\u00e1ter do nosso Deus. Tamb\u00e9m nos assegura que o fracasso nunca \u00e9 definitivo. Jamais devemos esquecer quem \u00e9 o nosso Deus \u2014 Ele \u00e9 o mesmo ontem, hoje e para sempre. Ele \u00e9 o Senhor e Ele n\u00e3o muda.Malaquias 3:6; Hebreus 13:8<\/em>).<\/p>

Talvez voc\u00ea esteja passando por um momento de fracasso. Talvez voc\u00ea tenha se afastado do Senhor. Lembre-se do vers\u00edculo de hoje: \u201cMas Deus\u201d. Ele nos fala da fidelidade Dele. Lembre-se, \u201cSe confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele \u00e9 fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados e nos purificar de toda injusti\u00e7a.\u201d<\/em> (1 Jo\u00e3o 1:9<\/em>).<\/p>
