Essa foi certamente a experi\u00eancia de Jacob. Grande parte de seus altos e baixos foram causados por ele mesmo. Seu nome significava <em data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"513\">suplantador<\/em> ou <em data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"528\">enganador.<\/em> Desde o ventre materno, quando agarrou o calcanhar do irm\u00e3o, parecia determinado a tramar para alcan\u00e7ar seus objetivos.<\/p><p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1257\">Jac\u00f3 viveu grande parte de sua vida em meio ao engano. Ele ludibriou seu irm\u00e3o Esa\u00fa, roubando-lhe o direito de primogenitura (G\u00eanesis 25:29-34). Enganando seu pai Isaque para obter a b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o da primogenitura (G\u00eanesis 27). N\u00e3o \u00e9 de admirar que tenha tido que fugir para salvar a pr\u00f3pria vida da ira de Esa\u00fa (G\u00eanesis 27:41-46). Contudo, em G\u00eanesis 28, Jac\u00f3 encontrou o Senhor de uma maneira que come\u00e7ou a mudar sua vida. Mais tarde, ao conhecer a fam\u00edlia de Lab\u00e3o, apaixonou-se rapidamente por Raquel e concordou em trabalhar sete anos para se casar com ela. Mas Lab\u00e3o, pai de Raquel, enganou Jac\u00f3, substituindo Raquel por Lia (G\u00eanesis 29). O passado de Jac\u00f3 o alcan\u00e7ou \u2014 ele estava colhendo o que havia semeado.<\/p><p data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1617\">Quando chegamos ao vers\u00edculo de hoje, Jac\u00f3 est\u00e1 mais uma vez fugindo. Desta vez, por\u00e9m, ele estava seguindo a instru\u00e7\u00e3o do Senhor para voltar para casa. Ao falar com Raquel, ele admitiu que o pai dela era contra ele, mas acrescentou: <em data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1534\">\u201cMas Deus n\u00e3o permitiu que ele me machucasse.\u201d<\/em> Jac\u00f3 estava come\u00e7ando a entender que Deus \u00e9 soberano e est\u00e1 agindo em sua vida.<\/p><p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1840\">Essa verdade tamb\u00e9m nos serve de lembrete. N\u00e3o importa o que aconte\u00e7a em nossas vidas, nada est\u00e1 fora do controle de Deus. Ele tem um plano divino, e nada pode frustr\u00e1-lo! Paulo expressou essa mesma confian\u00e7a quando escreveu:<\/p><p data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"2339\"><em data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"2321\">\u201cQue diremos, pois, a estas coisas? Se Deus \u00e9 por n\u00f3s, quem ser\u00e1 contra n\u00f3s? Aquele que nem mesmo a seu pr\u00f3prio Filho poupou, antes o entregou por todos n\u00f3s, como n\u00e3o nos dar\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m com ele todas as coisas? Quem intentar\u00e1 acusa\u00e7\u00e3o contra os escolhidos de Deus? \u00c9 Deus quem os justifica. Quem os condenar\u00e1? \u00c9 Cristo Jesus quem morreu; e mais, quem ressuscitou, o qual est\u00e1 \u00e0 direita de Deus e tamb\u00e9m intercede por n\u00f3s. Quem nos separar\u00e1 do amor de Cristo?\u201d<\/em> (Rom. 8:31-35).<\/p><p data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2371\">Em outras palavras: <em data-start=\"2357\" data-end=\"2369\">\u201cMas Deus!\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2371\"><strong>\u00c2ncora de hoje:<\/strong><br \/>Deus \u00e9 soberano sobre todas as situa\u00e7\u00f5es da vida.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>God Is Sovereign \u201cYet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me.\u201dGenesis 31:7 The road of life has many twists and turns.
