Instead, listen to the infallible Word of God: <em data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"770\">\u201cMost assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life\u201d<\/em> (John 6:47).<\/p><p data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"960\">Many people are troubled by the opinions of others or by the feelings of their own hearts. Only when they receive the assurance of God\u2019s Word does certainty replace doubt.<\/p><p data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1292\">When God speaks, there must be certainty\u2014whether in pronouncing the damnation of the unbeliever or the salvation of the believer. <em data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1143\">\u201cForever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 119:89). His Word settles everything. <em data-start=\"1189\" data-end=\"1273\">\u201cHas He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?\u201d<\/em> (Numbers 23:19).<\/p><p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1568\">But you may ask, <em data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1379\">\u201cHow can I be sure that I have enough of the right kind of faith?\u201d<\/em> It isn\u2019t a question of the kind or amount of your faith, but of the trustworthiness of the Person in whom you place your faith. Do you have confidence in the right Person\u2014the Son of God?<\/p><p data-start=\"1570\" data-end=\"1842\">Make sure your confidence is not based on good works, religious activities, feelings, or moral training. You may have the strongest faith in such things and still perish eternally. But the feeblest faith in Christ saves forever; the strongest faith in self is worthless.<\/p><p data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"2167\">The outward look brings inward peace. When a man turns his face toward the sun, his shadow falls behind him. You cannot look at yourself and at a glorified Christ in heaven at the same time. God\u2019s Son wins your confidence, His finished work makes you eternally secure, and God\u2019s Word gives you the certainty of salvation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assurance Of
