Jozef, zeventien jaar oud, hoedde de kudde met zijn broers. Hij was bij de zonen van Bilha en de zonen van Zilpa, de vrouwen van zijn vader. Jozef bracht een slecht bericht over hen over aan zijn vader. Isra\u00ebl had Jozef meer lief dan al zijn kinderen, omdat hij de zoon van zijn vader was. Daarom maakte hij voor hem een veelkleurig gewaad.\u201d<br \/><strong>Genesis 37:2-3<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Net als Isaak, David en Salomo is Jozef een beeld van de Heer Jezus Christus. In Isaak zien we het lijden van onze Heer en Zijn liefde wanneer Hij een bruid verwerft. In David zien we een beeld van het lijden van onze Heer en Zijn overwinning wanneer Hij een koninkrijk verwerft. In Jozef zien we een prachtig beeld van het lijden van de Heer Jezus en Zijn opperheerschappij wanneer Hij Zijn koninkrijk bestuurt. In Salomo zien we een beeld van onze Heer in al de glorie van Zijn koninkrijk en Zijn heerschappij.<\/p><p>Jozef werd geboren in Paddan-Aram terwijl Jakob ver van huis en land was. De Heer Jezus kwam in deze wereld toen Isra\u00ebl het land nog niet echt bezat of er recht op had. Jozef betekent &#039;toevoegen&#039; (Genesis 30:24). Christus voegt iets toe aan de kennis van de mens over God en zijn toegang tot Hem. Hij voegt iets toe aan de hemel (Johannes 12:24; Hebree\u00ebn 2:11-13) en Hij voegt iets toe aan de gemeente (Handelingen 2:47). Jozef was een herder; onze Heiland is de Goede Herder die zijn leven heeft gegeven. Hij is de Grote Herder die in de dagelijkse behoeften van zijn schapen voorziet, en Hij is de Opperherder aan wie alle onderherders rekenschap zullen afleggen wanneer Hij terugkeert.<\/p><p>Jozef wordt gezien als een dienaar, die de kudde hoedt en vervolgens Potifar en de gevangenen dient. De Heer Jezus is de volmaakte Dienaar! Jozef was afgezonderd voor de Heer, omdat hij niet tegen God wilde zondigen met de vrouw van Potifar. Hij werd verzocht, maar zondigde niet. De Heer Jezus was &quot;onbevlekt, afgezonderd van zondaren&quot;. Jozef leed onrechtvaardig onder zijn broers en redde uiteindelijk juist degenen die hem oorspronkelijk kwaad wilden doen. Hij werd beschuldigd en veroordeeld op valse gronden, maar toch verheven tot de rechterhand van de farao. Zoals voorspeld, zouden zijn broers voor hem &quot;knielen&quot; toen hij de redder van &quot;de hele aarde&quot; werd (Genesis 41:37-56). Hij vergaf en herstelde zijn zondige broers en maakte hen burgers van zijn koninkrijk (Genesis 46-50).<\/p><p>Jozef was het instrument dat God gebruikte om brood uit te delen aan de wereld in tijden van hongersnood. Zo is Jezus ook het \u201cBrood des Levens\u201d, dat het ware brood uitdeelt voor het leven van mensen uit elke stam, taal, volk en natie (Johannes 6:35; Openbaring 5:9).<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Net zoals Jozef door zijn broers werd verworpen, maar toch het middel tot hun redding werd, zo werd de Heer Jezus verworpen en leed Hij, maar staat Hij nu verhoogd als Degene die leven geeft en voorziet in de behoeften van allen die tot Hem komen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Suffering to Glory \u201cThis is the history of Jacob.
