Als je broer tegen je zondigt, berisp hem dan; en als hij berouw heeft, vergeef hem dan. En als hij zevenmaal per dag tegen je zondigt en zevenmaal per dag tot je terugkomt en zegt: \u2018Ik heb berouw,\u2019 dan moet je hem vergeven.\u201d <br \/><strong>Lucas 17:3-4<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Het is onmogelijk om door het leven te gaan zonder ooit door iemand anders beledigd of gekwetst te worden. De Heer Jezus zei: &quot;Het is onmogelijk dat er geen aanstoot komt, maar wee hem door wie die aanstoot komt&quot; (Lucas 17:1)! Eerder in Lucas vergeleek de Heer Jezus vergeving met het kwijtschelden van een financi\u00eble schuld (Lucas 7:36-47).<\/p><p>Tijdens het avondeten in het huis van Simon de Farizee\u00ebr kwam een zondige vrouw binnen en waste de voeten van onze Heer met haar eigen tranen, veegde ze af met haar haar en zalfde Zijn voeten met geurige olie. Haar liefde voor wie de Heer was en haar besef van haar eigen zonden zijn duidelijk in dit gedeelte. Maar zo was het niet met de Farizee\u00ebr; Simon oordeelde over zowel de Heer Jezus als de vrouw.<\/p><p>De Heer Jezus wist wat er in Simons hart omging en wat hij dacht, en daarom zei Hij: \u201cEr was eens een schuldeiser die twee schuldenaren had. De ene was hem vijfhonderd denarii schuldig, de andere vijftig. Toen ze niets hadden om terug te betalen, vergaf hij hun beiden. Zeg Mij dan, wie van hen zal Hem het meest liefhebben?\u201d Simon antwoordde: \u201cIk denk degene die Hij het meest heeft vergeven.\u201d En Hij zei tegen hem: \u201cJe hebt terecht geoordeeld.\u201d<\/p><p>Toen wees onze Heer haar op wat zij voor Hem had gedaan en wat Simon, als gastheer, had nagelaten. Hij verklaarde: &quot;Daarom zeg ik u: haar zonden, die talrijk waren, zijn haar vergeven, want zij heeft veel liefde getoond. Maar aan wie weinig vergeven wordt, die toont weinig liefde.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>De les lijkt duidelijk: zonde brengt altijd een schuld met zich mee die vergeven moet worden. Hoe bewuster we ons zijn van hoeveel ons vergeven is, hoe meer liefde we zullen hebben voor Degene die de schuld kwijtscheldt. Een ander gevolg van dit verhaal is dat toen deze vrouw, van wie de zonden waren vergeven, die dag het huis verliet, de geur van de geurige olie die ze had gebruikt met haar meeging in haar haar. We zouden kunnen zeggen dat de geur van vergeving haar volgde!<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>De geur van onze vergeving zou ons ook moeten volgen wanneer we mensen tegenkomen die tegen ons zondigen. Er zullen beledigingen komen, maar onze Heer geeft ons de opdracht om &quot;op onszelf te letten&quot; en hen te vergeven. Dat is gemakkelijker als we ons herinneren hoeveel ons is vergeven.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Fragrance Of Forgiveness \u201cTake heed to yourselves.
