Als hij naar je luistert, heb je je broer teruggewonnen.\u201d<br \/><strong>Matte\u00fcs 18:15<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Wanneer we het onderwerp vergeving bespreken, is het essentieel om te benadrukken wat vergeving n\u00ed\u00e9t is. Vergeving betekent niet het negeren van het onrecht dat je is aangedaan, noch het goedkeuren, rechtvaardigen of verontschuldigen ervan. Vergeving betekent niet doen alsof het onrecht niet is gebeurd of alsof je niet gekwetst bent. Bijbelse vergeving is een besluit om de dader niet langer een overtreding toe te rekenen. Het houdt in dat je iemand bevrijdt van een schuld die hij of zij heeft en van de schuld die hij of zij verdient. Vergeving is een besluit van de wil, geen emotie.<\/p><p>1 Korinti\u00ebrs 13:5 zegt dat &quot;de liefde geen rekening houdt met het kwaad&quot;, maar betekent dit dat we het kwaad dat ons is aangedaan negeren of proberen te verbergen? De Heer Jezus heeft veel tijd besteed aan dit onderwerp en schetst voor ons een patroon voor de omgang met onrecht dat ons is aangedaan. Merk op dat Hij in dit vers de dingen bij hun naam noemt: &quot;als uw broeder tegen u zondigt&quot;. Wat moeten we doen? Ga naar hem toe en vertel het hem. Praat met hem of haar over hoe hij of zij je heeft gekwetst en hoe je je voelt. Maar als we succesvol willen zijn in het aanpakken van dit probleem, is het nuttig om de zaak al aan de Heer voor te leggen. We moeten het niet alleen aan de Heer voorleggen, maar het ook aan de Heer overgeven! Dit komt later naar voren in Matthe\u00fcs 18.<\/p><p>In de verzen 15-17 geeft de Heer Jezus ons een voorbeeld van vergeving. Allereerst moeten we de zaak priv\u00e9 houden, tussen onszelf en de ander. Wanneer we naar degene gaan die ons pijn heeft gedaan, moeten we alleen met hem of haar spreken, in beslotenheid, en open, eerlijk en kalm zijn voor de Heer. Misschien beseft die persoon niet eens wat hij of zij heeft gedaan, en als dat wel zo is, kan jouw nederige houding van onderwerping en liefde hem of haar helpen te begrijpen wat hij of zij tegen jou heeft gedaan.<\/p><p>Ga hen niet tegemoet om een discussie te winnen, maar om je broeder terug te winnen! We moeten een geest van zachtmoedigheid en vriendelijkheid hebben wanneer we ernaar streven een broeder of zuster in Christus te herstellen (Gal. 6:1).<\/p><p>Als de eerste bijeenkomst het probleem niet oplost, krijgen we de opdracht om anderen erbij te halen om te helpen het op te lossen. Maar dit moeten mensen zijn die luisteren en bidden, en ernaar streven het probleem op te lossen als getuigen voor de Heer.
