De Bijbel spreekt over een tweede soort vergeving, namelijk praktische vergeving, of wat we relationele vergeving zouden kunnen noemen.<\/p><p>We moeten begrijpen dat vergeving de essentie van onze God is. Toen God Mozes verborg in de rotsspleet, lezen we: &quot;En de HEERE ging voor hem langs en riep uit: &#039;De HEERE, de HEERE God, barmhartig en genadig, lankmoedig en rijk aan goedheid en waarheid, die duizenden mensen barmhartigheid bewijst, die ongerechtigheid, overtreding en zonde vergeeft, maar de schuldigen geenszins vrijspreekt, maar de ongerechtigheid der vaderen bezoekt aan de kinderen en de kindskinderen tot in de derde en vierde generatie&#039;&quot; (Exodus 34:6-7).<\/p><p>Omdat onze zonden ons zijn vergeven en de zondekwestie is opgelost, verwacht onze God van ons dat we vergeven zoals wij zelf vergeven zijn. Het vers van vandaag herinnert ons eraan om ons te bekleden met &#039;tedere barmhartigheid, vriendelijkheid, nederigheid, zachtmoedigheid en lankmoedigheid; elkaar te verdragen en elkaar te vergeven&#039;. Het is de kleding van hen aan wie een grote schuld is vergeven die ze niet konden betalen. We moeten leven met het feit dat ons vergeven is, en wanneer iemand tegen ons zondigt, wanneer we een klacht hebben tegen een andere broeder of zuster, worden we opgeroepen om hen te vergeven zoals Christus ons heeft vergeven. Paulus benadrukt dit: &#039;Zo moet u ook doen!&#039;\u201c<\/p><p>De maatstaf voor vergeving is vastgesteld: &quot;zoals Christus u vergeven heeft&quot; en &quot;vergeef elkaar, zoals God u in Christus vergeven heeft&quot; (Efezi\u00ebrs 4:32). Er wordt al lang gezegd: &quot;We lijken nooit meer op God dan wanneer we vergeven.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Is er iemand in je leven die je vandaag moet vergeven? Hen vergeven is misschien niet makkelijk, maar het zal hen niet alleen bevrijden; het kan jou ook bevrijden van de last die je draagt van wat ze je hebben aangedaan!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forgiving One
