De Heer is nabij\u2026 Wat u van mij hebt geleerd, ontvangen, gehoord en gezien, doe dat, en de God van de vrede zal met u zijn.<\/em><br \/><strong><em>Filippenzen 4:5, 9<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>In Filippenzen 4:5 zien we een andere naam voor Jehovah, namelijk Jehovah-Shammah. Deze naam komt uit Ezechi\u00ebl 48:35 en betekent &#039;De HEER is daar&#039;. Paulus verklaart: &#039;De HEER is nabij&#039;. Hoewel Paulus, gezien Filippenzen 3:20, mogelijk de komst van de HEER in gedachten had, zoals hij doet in Romeinen 13:11-14 en zoals Jakobus in Jakobus 5:8, herinnert het ons er ook aan dat de HEER altijd nabij is, zoals we lezen in Psalm 119:151: &#039;U bent nabij, HEER, en al Uw geboden zijn waarheid.&#039; Wat een impact zou dit op ons leven hebben als we Zijn goddelijke aanwezigheid voortdurend zouden kunnen gedenken!<\/p><p>Een andere naam van Jehovah in Filippenzen vinden we in 4:9 in de uitdrukking \u201cde God van de vrede\u201d. Dit zou verband houden met Jehovah-Shalom, wat \u201cDe HEER is vrede\u201d betekent. Dit brengt ons terug naar de tijd van Gideon in Rechters 6:24. Gideon leefde in een tijd waarin er weinig geestelijke kracht was en de vijand alle bezittingen van de Isra\u00eblieten vernietigde. Maar de HEER verscheen aan hem en moedigde hem aan om vrede te hebben. Gideon noemde die plaats \u201cDe-HEER-is-Vrede\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>In Filippenzen 4:7 had Paulus al gesproken over \u201cde vrede van God\u201d. Daar ging het om de voorziening. Hier is het anders; het gaat hier veeleer om de Bron van de voorziening \u2013 de God van de vrede! Deze uitdrukking wordt ook gebruikt in 1 Thessalonicenzen 5:23: \u201cMoge de God van de vrede zelf u geheel heiligen.\u201d Dit is goddelijke vrede.<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Het is \u00e9\u00e9n ding om te genieten van de voorzieningen van de Heer, maar wat een vreugde kunnen we ervaren wanneer we in de nabijheid van de God van de vrede verkeren!\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Peace of The Lord&#8217;s Presence Let your gentleness be known to all men.
