Hier hebben we Jehovah-Tsidkenu, wat betekent \u201cDe HEER, onze gerechtigheid\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Dit brengt ons terug naar Jeremia 23:6: &quot;In zijn dagen zal Juda gered worden, en Isra\u00ebl zal veilig wonen; nu dit <em>is<\/em> Zijn naam waarmee Hij genoemd zal worden: DE HEER ONZE GERECHTIGHEID.\u201d Dit spreekt over de Heer Jezus in een toekomstige tijd.<\/p><p>Maar wij weten dat al onze rechtvaardigheden als vuile vodden zijn, en Paulus beschouwde al zijn rechtvaardigheden als waardeloos. Hij besefte dat hij geen enkele rechtvaardigheid in zichzelf had.<\/p><p>Wat is rechtvaardigheid? Het woord dat Paulus gebruikt, brengt het idee over van het voldoen aan een standaard of norm. In Bijbelse termen is het datgene wat aanvaardbaar is voor God en in overeenstemming met wie God is in Zijn heilige karakter. Het brengt het idee over van een juiste relatie met God hebben of op de juiste wijze met God verbonden zijn.<\/p><p>Deze rechtvaardigheid kunnen we alleen verkrijgen door geloof in Christus. Paulus zegt in Romeinen 4: &quot;Maar wie niet werkt, maar gelooft in Hem die de goddelozen rechtvaardigt, wordt door zijn geloof tot rechtvaardigheid gerekend, zoals David ook de zaligheid beschrijft van de man aan wie God rechtvaardigheid toerekent zonder werken.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>Net als Paulus zijn wij in Christus te vinden. Wij zijn door God aanvaard, niet vanwege iets wat wij kunnen doen, maar vanwege alles wat Hij heeft gedaan!
