Gered om te aanbidden<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cWant de Mensenzoon is gekomen om te zoeken en te redden wat verloren was.\u201d
Lucas 19:10<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

\u201cWant de Vader zoekt zulke mensen die Hem aanbidden.\u201d
Johannes 4:23<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

In het eerste vers lezen we dat de Heer Jezus gekomen is om te zoeken en te redden wat verloren was. In het tweede vers lezen we dat de Vader Zijn Zoon gezonden heeft om te zoeken en te redden met het specifieke doel om mensen voort te brengen die Hem aanbidden. We denken meestal dat de voornaamste reden voor onze verlossing is dat we aan de hel kunnen ontkomen. Dat is zeker een prachtig voordeel, maar het is niet het belangrijkste doel. Hoewel we kunnen en moeten genieten van de zegeningen die we in Christus hebben, mag dat niet onze voornaamste focus zijn. We mogen niet zozeer met de zegeningen bezig zijn dat we de Gever van de zegeningen uit het oog verliezen!<\/p>

Het kan ons schokken te beseffen dat het voornaamste motief van onze verlossing niet is dat wij iets ontvangen. Wij zijn verlost opdat God aanbeden wordt en opdat ons leven Hem verheerlijkt! De apostel Paulus verwoordde het zo: "Hem zij de heerlijkheid in de gemeente en in Christus Jezus, tot in alle geslachten, tot in eeuwigheid" (Efezi\u00ebrs 3:21).<\/p>

In Romeinen 1:5 lezen we dat het doel van evangelisatie is: \u201cgehoorzaamheid aan het geloof onder alle volken, omwille van Zijn naam\u201d. De apostel Johannes herhaalt dit in 3 Johannes 7, waar hij stelt dat zendelingen werden uitgezonden om het evangelie te verkondigen \u201comwille van Zijn naam\u201d. Onze redding is allereerst ten goede van God, niet van ons.<\/p>

We profiteren zeker van en genieten van vele zegeningen in onze verlossing! Maar al die zegeningen waarmee we gezegend worden, zijn extra zegeningen, niet het uiteindelijke doel. We moeten ernaar streven God te verheerlijken voordat we iets van Hem proberen te verkrijgen.<\/p>

Dit is wat de Heer Jezus ons aanmoedigde te doen toen Hij zei: "Zoek eerst het koninkrijk en Zijn gerechtigheid, en al deze dingen zullen u worden toegevoegd" (Matte\u00fcs 6:33). Door de hele Bijbel heen zien we dat Gods voornaamste bezigheid altijd het zoeken naar ware aanbidders is geweest. In Openbaring 19:1-5 zien we de gemeente in de hemel verkondigen: "Halleluja! De Heer, onze God, behoort aan de redding, de heerlijkheid, de eer en de macht. Want Zijn oordelen zijn waarachtig en rechtvaardig..." "Halleluja!" ... "Amen! Halleluja!" ... "Loof onze God, al Zijn dienaren en allen die Hem vrezen, klein en groot!"\u201c<\/p>

Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong>
Het enige doel van ons verblijf in de hemel is dat we God op de juiste manier en voor eeuwig mogen aanbidden. Mogen we beseffen dat we gered zijn om God nu al als onze Vader te aanbidden en mogen we beginnen te leven naar het doel waarvoor Hij ons heeft verlost!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
