De hel is, om het zo te zeggen, voorbereid voor de duivel en zijn engelen. Denk je dat de duivel het verdient om naar de hel te gaan? Natuurlijk wel.<\/p><p>En als iemand in de hel terechtkomt, is dat omdat hij of zij gedurende zijn of haar leven het aanbod van vergeving door Jezus Christus heeft afgewezen, waarvoor de dood van de Zoon van God aan het kruis nodig was. Ze hebben het keer op keer afgewezen. Het is niet zozeer dat God hen naar de hel stuurt, maar eerder dat ze er vrijwillig heen gaan.<\/p><p>JI Packer zei: &quot;De Schrift ziet de hel als een zelfgekozen bestemming. ... De hel verschijnt als een gebaar van respect van God voor de menselijke keuze. Iedereen ontvangt wat hij of zij werkelijk heeft gekozen: voor eeuwig bij God zijn en Hem aanbidden, of voor eeuwig zonder God zijn en zichzelf aanbidden.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>C.S. Lewis schreef ook: &quot;Uiteindelijk zijn er maar twee soorten mensen: zij die tegen God zeggen: &#039;Uw wil geschiede&#039;, en zij tot wie God uiteindelijk zegt: &#039;Uw wil geschiede&#039;. Allen die in de hel zijn, hebben ervoor gekozen. Zonder die zelfgekozen keuze zou er geen hel kunnen bestaan.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>Hemel en hel bestaan wel degelijk. En op die laatste dag, als je een gelovige bent, zal God zeggen: &quot;Goed gedaan, goede en trouwe dienaar. Ga in tot de vreugde van je Heer&quot; (zie Matte\u00fcs 25:21, 23).<\/p><p>Maar als je niet gelooft, zal God zeggen: \u201cIk heb je nooit gekend; ga weg van Mij, jullie die wetteloosheid bedrijven!\u201d (Matte\u00fcs 7:23).<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Iedereen zal op een dag Jezus Christus ontmoeten. Dat is onontkoombaar. Als je Hem niet als Redder ontmoet, zul je Hem uiteindelijk als Rechter ontmoeten.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An
