De Schrift leert dat het verbonden is met leven voor Christus en voor anderen. Ik vind en geniet ervan wanneer ik bezig ben met Christus!<\/p><p>In onze Bijbeltekst van vandaag spreekt Jakobus over de \u201cwet van de vrijheid\u201d. Het woord \u201cwet\u201d duidt hier op \u201cde sturende kracht\u201d of \u201chet principe in werking\u201d. Jakobus zegt hiermee: \u201cAls christen sta je niet onder de wet van slavernij, maar onder de sturende kracht van de vrijheid.\u201d De wet van Mozes verplichtte de Jood zijn naaste lief te hebben, maar gaf hem niet de macht om dat te doen en veroordeelde hem als hij daarin faalde. Maar door de genade ontvangen wij de kracht om onze naaste lief te hebben.<\/p><p>De uitdrukking &quot;zo spreken en zo doen&quot; verwijst naar woorden en daden, naar wat we zeggen en hoe we lopen; beide moeten overeenkomen! Wanneer ze niet overeenkomen, overtreden we de wet van de vrijheid en zullen we rekenschap moeten afleggen van deze tekortkoming voor de rechterstoel van Christus (1 Korinti\u00ebrs 3:14-15; 2 Korinti\u00ebrs 5:9-10). In Romeinen 14:10-13 verbindt Paulus de rechterstoel van Christus met de wet van de vrijheid, en gebruikt dit als motivatie en als een herinnering om de wet van de vrijheid in ons leven te laten werken!<\/p><p>Maar wat staat in de weg dat deze vrijheid zichtbaar wordt in ons individuele leven en in onze plaatselijke gemeenten? Jakobus verbindt de wet van de vrijheid met het Woord van God in Jakobus 1:21-27. Het Woord in praktijk brengen betekent het Woord in ons hart bewaren en het laten dienen als leidraad in elk aspect van ons leven. Het Woord van God moet onze maatstaf zijn en een effectief middel om ons te beschermen tegen de invloed van de wereld om ons heen. Het Woord van God verwaarlozen betekent de wereld toestaan ons te dicteren hoe we moeten denken en ons gedragen.<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Wanneer we de volmaakte wet van de vrijheid onderzoeken en ernaar leven, en niet alleen toehoorders maar ook doeners van het Woord zijn, zullen we ware vrijheid genieten!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Law Of Liberty So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.
