Mijn ziel zal roemen in de Heer; de nederigen zullen het horen en zich verheugen. O, verheerlijk de Heer met mij, en laten wij samen Zijn naam verhogen.\u201d<br \/><strong>Psalm 34:1-3<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Wat betekent het om God te verheerlijken? Het woord <em>vergroten<\/em> Het betekent: God groot maken, prijzen, eren, opscheppen over, verheffen, promoten of groot verklaren. Hoe maken we God groot? Er zijn eigenlijk twee verschillende manieren om naar dit woord te kijken. <em>vergroten<\/em>. We kunnen ernaar kijken zoals we door een microscoop of vergrootglas zouden kijken, waardoor een klein object groter lijkt, of we kunnen naar dit woord kijken zoals we door een telescoop zouden kijken, die datgene wat ver weg en extreem groot is, dichterbij brengt. Een leven dat de Heer verheerlijkt, doet precies dat. Het is een leven dat God dichter bij de mensen brengt met wie het in contact komt!<\/p><p>Dat is precies wat het leven van de Heer Jezus deed. Zijn leven was volmaakt en verheerlijkte en prees God. In Psalm 69 lezen we over de innerlijke gevoelens en het lijden van de Heer Jezus (Ps. 69:2-4, 7-12, 20-21). Maar we zien ook wat zo&#039;n leven tot stand bracht voor de glorie van God, wanneer de psalm profetisch over de Heer zegt:, <em>\u201cIk zal de naam van God prijzen met een lied en Hem verheerlijken met dankzegging.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 69:30).<\/p><p>De Heer Jezus verheerlijkte God op alle mogelijke manieren, en daardoor bracht Hij God ook dichter bij ons. De Schrift zegt:, <em>\u201cIn den beginne was het Woord, en het Woord was bij God, en het Woord was God.\u201d<\/em> en vervolgens, <em>\u201cHet Woord werd vlees en woonde onder ons, en wij zagen Zijn heerlijkheid.\u201d<\/em> vol van genade en waarheid (Johannes 1:1, 14). In Johannes 14:9 kon Hij zeggen:, <em>\u201cWie Mij gezien heeft, heeft de Vader gezien.\u201d<\/em> Hij verheerlijkte God. Hij was <em>\u201cGod geopenbaard in het vlees.\u201d<\/em> In en door Zijn lichaam heeft Hij God dicht bij ons gebracht, opdat wij Zijn grootheid zouden aanschouwen.<\/p><p>Ook ons leven behoort God te verheerlijken! Ik geloof dat de Schrift ons leert dat ons hele wezen God moet verheerlijken \u2013 onze geest, ziel en lichaam. Denk aan wat Maria zei in Lucas 1:46., <em>\u201cMijn ziel verheerlijkt de Heer.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Johannes de Doper had hetzelfde verlangen toen hij over de Heer Jezus zei:, <em>\u201cHij moet groeien, maar ik moet afnemen.\u201d<\/em> (Johannes 3:30).\u00a0<\/p><p>Een voorbeeld van zo&#039;n leven vinden we in Dani\u00ebl 1:8 en 3:28. Zij namen zich in hun hart voor om voor God te leven en zouden voor niemand anders buigen! En op een heel praktische manier brachten hun levens God dichterbij, voor iedereen zichtbaar!\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Moge ons leven God dichter bij de mensen brengen die we raken. Mogen zij niet ons zien, maar Christus, die wij zo graag willen verheerlijken!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Magnify The Lord \u201cI will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
