Want de wet werd gegeven door Mozes, maar genade en waarheid zijn gekomen door Jezus Christus.<br \/><strong>Johannes 1:16-17<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Het is net zo moeilijk om de voortdurende genade van God in ons leven uit te leggen als de oceaan. Net zoals de golven op de kust aanrollen, golf na golf, zo komt de genade van God genade op genade. Net zoals het water in de oceaan nooit opraakt of afneemt, zo kan ook de genade van onze God niet opraken; genade zal genade voortdurend opvolgen in een grenzeloze, oneindige stroom!<\/p><p>De uitdrukking &quot;genade voor genade&quot; kan beter vertaald worden als &quot;genade op genade&quot;. Het geeft de gedachte weer van de ene graad van genade naar de andere. Naarmate we het Nieuwe Testament lezen, zien we dit steeds duidelijker ge\u00efllustreerd. Het begint natuurlijk met de reddende genade van God, Gods kracht die ons rechtvaardig verklaart in Christus, ons onze zonden vergeeft en ons tot een nieuwe schepping in Christus maakt (Efezi\u00ebrs 2:8-10). Simpel gezegd is reddende genade de schenking van Gods vergeving.<\/p><p>Maar diezelfde genade heiligt ons ook. Dit betekent dat we apart gezet zijn voor Gods doel, en de Heilige Geest is aan het werk om dit in ieders leven concreet te maken (Titus 2:11-12). Simpel gezegd is heiliging de overdracht van Gods heiligheid in ons leven.<\/p><p>De Bijbel laat ons vervolgens de kracht zien van Gods versterkende genade, die ons in staat stelt een overwinnend christelijk leven te leiden, ondanks de omstandigheden waarmee we te maken kunnen krijgen. Versterkende genade schenkt Gods kracht en macht in ons leven (Romeinen 5:17).<\/p><p>Naarmate we in deze genade groeien, beginnen we Gods genade van delen te ervaren, die in onze behoeften voorziet en Gods vrijgevigheid aan ons schenkt, waardoor we met anderen kunnen delen (2 Korinti\u00ebrs 9:8).<\/p><p>Een andere golf van Gods genade in ons leven kunnen we dienende genade noemen, namelijk de kracht en het vermogen om Hem en de mensen die Hij op ons pad brengt te dienen (1 Petrus 4:10).<\/p><p>Petrus daagt ons uit om \u201calle kwaadwilligheid, bedrog, huichelarij, afgunst en kwaadspreken af te leggen, en als pasgeboren baby\u2019s te verlangen naar de pure melk van het woord, opdat u daardoor mag groeien, als u werkelijk hebt ervaren dat de Heer genadig is\u201d (1 Petrus 2:1-3), en om \u201cte groeien in de genade en kennis van onze Heer en Heiland Jezus Christus\u201d (2 Petrus 3:18).<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<br \/><\/strong><em>O Verlosser, leer mij standvastig te blijven.<\/em><br \/><em>Dicht beschut aan Uw gewonde zijde,<\/em><br \/><em>Elk uur ontvang je \u201cgenade op genade\u201d.\u201d<\/em><br \/><em>Totdat ik U van aangezicht tot aangezicht zie.<\/em><br \/><em>\u2013 James Deck<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grace Upon Grace And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
