O Heer, ik heb Uw woorden gehoord en ben bevreesd geworden; o Heer, wek Uw werk weer tot leven te midden van de jaren! Maak het bekend te midden van de jaren; gedenk in Uw toorn de barmhartigheid.\u201d<br \/><strong>Habakuk 3:1-2<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>In hoofdstuk \u00e9\u00e9n zagen we Habakuk zich afvragen en zorgen maken over wat er in zijn wereld gebeurde en waarom God op die manier te werk ging. In hoofdstuk twee zagen we hem de Heer observeren en op Hem wachten, en beseffen dat God inderdaad aan het werk was. Hier, in hoofdstuk drie, zien we de profeet God aanbidden en getuigen van de grootheid en glorie van zijn God! Deze man ging van het dal van vragen en zorgen naar de bergtop van gebed en lofprijzing!<\/p><p>Habakuk had de stem van de Heer gehoord en stond vol ontzag toen hij zijn hart uitstortte bij de God die tot hem had gesproken. De uitdrukking &quot;O Heer&quot; komt drie keer voor in dit hoofdstuk (3:2, 8). Het drukt een diepgevoeld verlangen naar een opwekking uit. Hij spreekt zijn God aan als HEER (Jehova), de zelfbestaande God van de relatie, en vraagt tweemaal, &quot;midden in de jaren&quot;, dat God Zijn werk nieuw leven inblaast en bekendmaakt. Habakuk vraagt de Heer om de ware aard van Zijn werk te onthullen, bekend te maken, en wel nu! Misschien had hij 2 Kronieken 7:14 in gedachten: &quot;Als mijn volk, dat naar mijn naam genoemd wordt, zich vernedert, bidt, mijn aangezicht zoekt en zich afkeert van zijn slechte wegen, dan zal Ik vanuit de hemel luisteren, hun zonde vergeven en hun land genezen.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>Dit diepe verlangen kwam voort uit een hart dat het Woord van God had gehoord. God had gesproken, en een hart dat bewogen was tot een geestelijke herleving, werd ertoe aangezet te bidden! Het horen van de stem van de Heer wekt geloof op (Romeinen 10:17). Zonder het Woord van God kunnen we niet effectief bidden. Gebed en het Woord van God worden vaak hand in hand gezien (Handelingen 6:4; Johannes 15:7).<\/p><p>Wat wilde Habakuk eigenlijk zien toen hij om een opwekking vroeg? Hij verlangde naar een hernieuwde waardering voor de heerlijkheid van de Heer en een vernieuwd inzicht in Zijn heiligheid (3:3-4). Hij wilde zich opnieuw bewust worden van zijn eigen zwakheid, maar ook van Gods voortdurende trouw en grootheid. Hij verlangde ernaar dat God Zijn macht onder Zijn volk bekend zou maken.<\/p><p>Wat is ons antwoord vandaag op het Woord van God? Hij heeft gezegd: \u201cAl die dingen heeft Mijn hand gemaakt, en al die dingen bestaan,\u201d zegt de Heer. \u201cMaar op deze zal Ik letten: op hem die arm is en een berouwvol hart heeft, en die beeft voor Mijn woord\u201d (Jesaja 66:2).<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Reageren wij op het Woord met eerbiedig ontzag en bereidwillige gehoorzaamheid, zoals Habakuk?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Responding To The Word \u201cA prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, on Shigionoth.
