Want hij zal zijn als een boom, geplant aan het water, die zijn wortels uitspreidt langs de rivier en niet vreest voor de hitte; zijn bladeren zullen groen blijven en hij zal zich geen zorgen maken in een jaar van droogte, en hij zal niet ophouden vrucht te dragen.<br \/>Jeremia 17:7-8<\/em><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Een van de sleutels tot het verbreken van de ketenen van zorgen, angst en vrees is het vertrouwen op de Heer in elk aspect van ons leven en in alles wat ons leven betreft. Het is verbazingwekkend dat we Hem kunnen vertrouwen voor onze grootste behoefte, onze redding, en toch vinden velen van ons het moeilijk om Hem in andere levensgebieden te vertrouwen. Wat betekent het om op de Heer te vertrouwen? Jeremia verbindt het met onze hoop en vergelijkt het met een boom die aan het water geplant is. De wortels schieten diep de grond in en verspreiden zich. De boom heeft een constante en voortdurende bron van water en toevoer, waardoor hij niet bang is voor de hitte. Een boom die water krijgt, hoeft zich geen zorgen te maken of angstig te zijn in tijden van droogte en blijft vrucht dragen.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Hoe kunnen jij en ik zo&#039;n vertrouwen opbouwen dat we net zo kunnen zijn als die boom waar Jeremia over spreekt? Ik wil graag een anonieme afkorting voor het woord vertrouwen delen die ik een tijdje geleden tegenkwam:<\/p><p class=\"p2\">T - Neem God op Zijn woord. &quot;God is geen mens, dat Hij zou liegen, noch een mensenzoon, dat Hij berouw zou hebben. Heeft Hij iets gezegd en zal Hij het niet doen? Of heeft Hij gesproken en zal Hij het niet waarmaken?&quot; (Numeri 23:19).<\/p><p class=\"p2\">R - Rust in Zijn aanwezigheid. Het Hebreeuwse woord voor rust is nuach, wat &#039;rusten, stil zijn&#039; betekent. Psalm 91:1 leert ons: &#039;Wie in de schuilplaats van de Allerhoogste woont, zal onder de schaduw van de Almachtige verblijven.&#039;\u201c<\/p><p class=\"p2\">U-Begrijp dat de uitkomst niet van ons afhangt. &quot;Vertrouw op de Heer met heel je hart en steun niet op je eigen inzicht. Erken Hem in al je wegen, en Hij zal je paden rechtmaken&quot; (Spreuken 3:5-6).<\/p><p class=\"p2\">S - Accepteer dat God soeverein is. Hij heeft absolute controle, absolute autoriteit en macht: &quot;O Heer, God! Zie, U hebt de hemel en de aarde gemaakt door Uw grote macht en Uw uitgestrekte arm. Niets is te moeilijk voor U&quot; (Jeremia 32:17).<\/p><p class=\"p2\">Keer terug naar het verleden en voed je met Zijn trouw (Psalm 37:3). Zijn trouw in het verleden is niet veranderd, omdat Hij niet veranderd is! Groot is Zijn trouw (Klaagliederen 3:23)!<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/><em>Gewoon elke dag vertrouwen; vertrouwen houden, ook in moeilijke tijden;<\/em><br \/><em>Zelfs als mijn geloof klein is, vertrouw ik op Jezus, meer niet.<\/em><br \/><em>\u2013 Edgar Page<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simply
