Dit is iets waar de meesten van ons liever niet over praten. Sterker nog, we proberen onze angsten meestal te verbergen en te doen alsof ze niet bestaan. Maar David vraagt de Heer om zijn angsten te openbaren \u2013 om ze te kennen.<\/p><p>Het woord angsten is <em>sarappim<\/em> In het Hebreeuws draagt het de betekenis van verontrustende, angstige of tegenstrijdige gedachten. Angsten ontstaan uit zorgen die niet aan de Heer zijn toevertrouwd. Het zijn zorgen die de ruimte hebben gekregen om te groeien.<\/p><p>Volgens het woordenboek betekent &#039;woede&#039; als werkwoord &#039;toegeven aan angst of onrust; je gedachten laten dwalen over moeilijkheden of problemen&#039;. Als zelfstandig naamwoord is het &#039;een toestand van angst en onzekerheid over actuele of potenti\u00eble problemen&#039;. Angst is &#039;een gevoel van bezorgdheid, nervositeit of onrust, meestal over een aanstaande gebeurtenis of iets met een onzekere uitkomst&#039;.\u201c<\/p><p>Angst kan leiden tot vrees, wat &quot;een onaangename emotie is die wordt veroorzaakt door de overtuiging dat iemand of iets gevaarlijk is, waarschijnlijk pijn zal veroorzaken of een bedreiging vormt&quot;. Vrees is een reactie op een gevaar of bedreiging die al dan niet kan plaatsvinden. Vrees kan zelfs leiden tot de veel ernstiger aandoening paniek. Paniek is een diepere, ernstigere aandoening waarbij iemand volledig overweldigd raakt door fysieke en mentale stress.<\/p><p>David beschrijft die paniek in Psalm 55:4-5: &quot;Mijn hart is hevig gekweld, en de vrees voor de dood is over mij gekomen. Angst en beven hebben mij bevangen, en verschrikking heeft mij overweldigd.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>Dit zijn allemaal dingen waar velen van ons liever niet over praten. Ze zijn misschien zelfs moeilijk te begrijpen. Maar het Woord van God spreekt over deze kwesties en biedt ons hulp wanneer we erdoorheen gaan. Er kunnen gevallen zijn waarin iemand professionele hulp nodig heeft van een gekwalificeerde christelijke therapeut of een andere vertrouwde professional. Maar we moeten ook niet vergeten dat de Heer Jezus Christus verklaarde: &quot;Vrede laat Ik u na, Mijn vrede geef Ik u, niet zoals de wereld geeft, geef Ik u. Laat uw hart niet verontrust zijn en wees niet bang&quot; (Johannes 14:27).<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/><em>Breng al je angsten, al je zorgen, naar de troon van genade, laat ze daar achter.,<\/em><br \/><em>Er is geen last die Hij niet kan dragen, er is geen vriend zoals Jezus!<\/em><br \/><em>\u2013 Edward
