Luister naar Hem!\u2019<br \/><strong>Matte\u00fcs 17:5<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>In hoofdstuk 16 sprak de Heer Jezus met Zijn discipelen over wie Hij was, Zijn bediening en de prijs die het kost om Hem te volgen. Onze Heer nam Petrus, Jakobus en Johannes vervolgens mee naar een hoge berg, waar Hij voor hun ogen werd verheerlijkt. Het woord &#039;verheerlijkt&#039; is waar ons woord vandaan komt. <em>metamorfose<\/em>, Dat betekent dat er van binnenuit een uiterlijke verandering plaatsvindt. Met andere woorden: wat zich vanbinnen bevindt, wordt aan de buitenkant zichtbaar.<\/p><p>Dit is precies wat er gebeurde met betrekking tot de heerlijkheid van de Heer Jezus. Deze drie mannen kregen een glimp van Zijn heerlijkheid te zien. De Geest van God vestigt in dit gedeelte onze aandacht op vier aspecten van de heerlijkheid van de Heer.<\/p><p>Allereerst zien we de heerlijkheid van Zijn Persoon. In Lucas 9:28-29 lezen we dat, terwijl Hij bad, \u201czijn gelaat veranderde en zijn gewaad wit en glanzend werd.\u201d In het evangelie van Lucas wordt Hij voorgesteld als de afhankelijke Mens, de biddende Mens en de gehoorzame Mens. De smarten op aarde kunnen worden herleid tot de ongehoorzaamheid en onafhankelijkheid van de mens van God, maar de toekomstige heerlijkheid draait om deze afhankelijke Mens. Hier zien we Hem als de verheerlijkte Mens.<\/p><p>In vers 3 lezen we dat Mozes en Elia verschenen en met de Heer spraken. Mozes herinnert ons aan de Wet, en Elia vertegenwoordigt de Profeten. Samen vertegenwoordigen zij het Oude Testament. Samen met de discipelen herinneren zij ons eraan dat zowel het Oude als het Nieuwe Testament draaien om de Heer Jezus. Alles vindt zijn vervulling in Hem. Lucas 9:30 vertelt ons waarover ze spraken: ze &quot;spraken over Zijn dood, die Hij te Jeruzalem zou volbrengen.&quot; Hier zien we de glorie van het kruis, &quot;het lijden van Christus en de heerlijkheid die daarop zou volgen&quot; (1 Petrus 1:11). We zien ook de glorie van Zijn onderwerping, die nog vollediger zou worden getoond in de Hof van Getsemane.<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>De heerlijkheid van Zijn Persoon, de heerlijkheid van Zijn Koninkrijk, de heerlijkheid van Zijn lijden en de heerlijkheid van Zijn onderwerping \u2013 wat een aanblik voor ons en wat een boodschap om in onze ziel te koesteren!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Glory On The Mount \u201cWhile he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, \u2018This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
