En zie, de hemel opende zich voor Hem, en Hij zag de Geest van God neerdalen als een duif en op Hem rusten. En plotseling klonk er een stem uit de hemel, die zei: \u2018Dit is Mijn geliefde Zoon, in wie Ik Mijn welbehagen heb.\u2019\u201d<br \/><strong>Matte\u00fcs 3:16-17<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>De Heer Jezus identificeerde Zichzelf met de doop van Johannes de Doper, een doop van bekering, en verkondigde: &quot;Bekeer u, want het koninkrijk der hemelen is nabij!&quot; Onze Heer had geen bekering nodig; Hij identificeerde Zich er echter mee om &quot;alle gerechtigheid te vervullen&quot; (Matte\u00fcs 3:15). Deze daad verbond de Heer Jezus duidelijk met Johannes en bevestigde de boodschap van het koninkrijk.<\/p><p>Deze doop markeerde het begin van de openbare bediening van de Heer Jezus, net zoals de priesters en de heilige voorwerpen in het Oude Testament, die met olie werden gewijd voor heilige doeleinden (Exodus 30:25-30). De Heer Jezus werd gezalfd door de Heilige Geest. We zien niet alleen de gehele Godheid bij de doop van de Heer, maar we horen ook het hart van de Vader met betrekking tot Zijn geliefde Zoon.<\/p><p>De Vader had dertig jaar lang het priv\u00e9leven van de Heer Jezus gadegeslagen. Het gordijn wordt even opgelicht wanneer Maria en Jozef Hem niet kunnen vinden. Op slechts twaalfjarige leeftijd horen we de stem van de Heer Jezus wanneer Hij zegt: &quot;Waarom zochten jullie Mij? Wisten jullie niet dat Ik bezig moest zijn met de zaken van Mijn Vader?&quot; (Lucas 2:49). Hij kwam om de wil te doen van Hem die Hem gezonden had (Johannes 4:34; 5:30; 6:38). Hij wordt niet alleen gezien als de eeuwige Zoon, maar ook als de volmaakte Dienaar. De Vader kon zeggen: &quot;Dit is Mijn geliefde Zoon, in wie Ik Mijn welbehagen heb&quot;, of, zoals een andere vertaling het weergeeft: &quot;in wie Ik Mijn vreugde heb gevonden.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>We horen de uitdrukking &quot;Mijn Geliefde&quot; ook in verband met de dienst van de Lijdende Knecht, zoals beschreven in Jesaja 42-53. We zien Jesaja 42 geciteerd in Matte\u00fcs 12:18, waar we opnieuw het hart van de Vader horen: &quot;Zie, Mijn Knecht, die Ik heb uitverkoren, Mijn Geliefde, in wie Mijn ziel een welbehagen heeft! Ik zal Mijn Geest op hem leggen.&quot;\u201c<\/p><p>In deze verzen vinden we de eerste van drie gelegenheden waarop de Vader vanuit de hemel spreekt. De andere twee zijn op de berg van de transfiguratie (Matte\u00fcs 17:5) en vlak voor het kruis (Johannes 12:28). <br \/><br \/><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>De boodschap aan ieder van ons is deze: de Vader heeft zijn vreugde gevonden in de Zoon, en nu nodigt Hij ons uit om Hem te aanschouwen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Father&#8217;s Delight \u201cWhen He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
