\u201cGod, die in het verleden op verschillende tijdstippen en op verschillende manieren tot de voorvaders sprak door de profeten, heeft in deze laatste dagen tot ons gesproken door Zijn Zoon, die Hij tot erfgenaam van alle dingen heeft aangesteld en door wie Hij ook de wereld heeft geschapen.\u201d
Hebree\u00ebn 1:1-2<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

De brief aan de Hebree\u00ebn begint met God die spreekt, en eindigt in wezen ook met God die spreekt: "Wees niet afwijzend tegenover Hem die spreekt. Want als zij die Hem die op aarde sprak niet hebben afgewezen, niet ontkomen, hoeveel te meer zullen wij niet ontkomen als wij ons afwenden van Hem die vanuit de hemel spreekt, wiens stem toen de aarde deed beven? Maar nu heeft Hij beloofd: 'Nog eenmaal zal Ik niet alleen de aarde, maar ook de hemel doen beven'" (Hebree\u00ebn 12:25-26).<\/p>

Hebree\u00ebn is een boek dat laat zien hoe jij en ik een heilige en rechtvaardige God kunnen aanbidden. Wat Leviticus is voor het Oude Testament, is Hebree\u00ebn voor het Nieuwe Testament. Leviticus<\/em> betekent "Hij riep", want de Heer riep Zijn volk op om Hem te aanbidden, maar altijd volgens de door Hem voorgeschreven weg.<\/p>

U en ik konden Hem niet naderen voordat het werk van Christus was volbracht. Daarom is God tot ons genadig geworden in de persoon van Zijn Zoon. Hij had op verschillende tijdstippen en op verschillende manieren tot de mensheid gesproken door de profeten. Maar als de heilige en rechtvaardige God, die de zonde niet kan aanzien, had Hij \u00e9\u00e9n laatste boodschap voor de mensheid, die Hij sprak in en door Zijn Zoon.<\/p>

De Ene \u201cdie als enige onsterfelijkheid bezit, die woont in ontoegankelijk licht, die niemand heeft gezien en niet kan zien\u201d (1 Tim. 6:16), heeft Zichzelf geopenbaard door Zijn geliefde Zoon. Wij konden Hem niet ontmoeten, dus kwam Hij naar buiten om ons te ontmoeten! De Heer Jezus Christus, Gods geliefde Zoon, werd mens \u2013 God geopenbaard in het vlees (1 Tim. 3:16) \u2013 om God aan de mensheid bekend te maken. Hij is het Eeuwige Woord (Johannes 1:1) dat vlees werd en onder ons woonde (Johannes 1:14). \u201cNiemand heeft ooit God gezien. De eniggeboren Zoon, die in de schoot van de Vader is, heeft Hem bekendgemaakt\u201d (Johannes 1:18).<\/p>

In het verleden gebruikte God vele verschillende middelen om Zichzelf te openbaren, maar nu heeft Hij alles gekanaliseerd via Zijn geliefde Zoon, de vleesgeworden openbaring van God.<\/p>

Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong>
De Heer Jezus is Gods laatste Woord over elk onderwerp. "Verwerp Hem die spreekt niet" (Hebree\u00ebn 12:25).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
