Wees niet onbezonnen met je woorden, en laat je hart niets overhaast uitspreken voor God. Want God is in de hemel en jij op aarde; daarom, laat je woorden weinig zijn. Want een droom komt voort uit veel bedrijvigheid, en de stem van een dwaas wordt herkend aan zijn vele woorden.\u201d<br \/><strong>Prediker 5:1-3<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Salomo richt zijn gedachten op de mens en zijn aanbidding, en hij geeft zeer leerzame adviezen over hoe we God moeten benaderen. Eerst spreekt hij over ons wandelgedrag; vervolgens over hoe we in Gods aanwezigheid spreken.<\/p><p>Wat onze wandel betreft, ons gedrag moet voorzichtig zijn. Dit houdt in dat we waakzaam moeten zijn of iets moeten bewaren. We zouden ons kunnen afvragen: &quot;Wat moeten we bewaren?&quot; Het antwoord is: de eer en het karakter bewaren van Degene die we naderen. Salomo waarschuwt ons voor een nonchalante houding wanneer we in de aanwezigheid van een heilige God komen. We mogen nooit lichtzinnig, onzorgvuldig of oneerbiedig zijn. Let op hoe Salomo zulke mensen beschrijft: als zij die dwaas offeren, als zij die kwaad doen en als zij die onbezonnen en overhaast handelen.<\/p><p>Twee keer beschrijft hij hen als dwazen. Het woord <em>gek<\/em> Hierin schuilt de gedachte van iemand die er plezier in schept niet te begrijpen. Het beschrijft iemand die niet begrijpt wie God is en die vergeten is wie Hijzelf is. In de huidige sfeer van vertrouwdheid en ongedwongenheid is het gemakkelijk te vergeten dat we, wanneer we God aanbidden, de God van het universum naderen \u2013 de Schepper, de alwetende, heilige die ons tot Zichzelf heeft verlost.<\/p><p>Salomo waarschuwt ons voor onze benadering van God in de aanbidding. Zelfs in deze tijd van genade waarin u en ik leven, behoort er eerbied te zijn wanneer we Hem naderen. We mogen niet lichtzinnig omgaan met wat heilig is, of preciezer gezegd, met Hem die heilig is. Hoewel het voorhangsel van boven tot onder is gescheurd, waardoor we toegang hebben tot Zijn tegenwoordigheid, moeten we dat doen &quot;met een vol vertrouwen in het geloof, met een geweten dat gereinigd is van een slecht geweten en met een lichaam dat gewassen is met rein water&quot; (Hebree\u00ebn 10:19-22).<\/p><p>Wanneer we Zijn heilige aanwezigheid betreden, moeten we bedenken dat de Heer Jezus niet alleen de \u201cHogepriester van het huis van God\u201d is, maar ook de Zoon van datzelfde huis (Hebree\u00ebn 3:6). Alles wat in Zijn aanwezigheid gedaan wordt, moet gebeuren met Zijn gezag, Zijn rechten en Zijn heiligheid in gedachten.<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>We hebben het voorrecht om God te naderen, maar aan elk voorrecht is ook verantwoordelijkheid verbonden.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Approaching God \u201cWalk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.
