Dit benadrukt hoe belangrijk deze waarheid is \u2013 een waarheid die ooit verborgen was, maar nu geopenbaard is in de persoon van de Heer Jezus Christus. Het is essentieel voor het begrijpen van een leven van ware godsvrucht.<\/p><p>De uitdrukking &quot;Groot&quot; staat in scherp contrast met wat Timote\u00fcs in Efeze moet hebben gehoord: &quot;Groot is Diana van de Efezi\u00ebrs!&quot; (Handelingen 19:28, 34, 35). De verering van Diana werd gekenmerkt door afgoderij en immoraliteit. Wat een contrast zien we in dit vers! Het ware karakter van godvruchtigheid wordt getoond in de gezegende Heer Jezus Christus.<\/p><p>Dit mysterie van godsvrucht hoort te worden vastgehouden door hen die \u201chet mysterie van het geloof met een zuiver geweten bewaren\u201d (1 Tim. 3:9). Het verwijst naar de grote waarheid van verlossing en gerechtigheid die door Christus gevonden wordt en die godsvrucht voortbrengt in hen die geloven.<\/p><p>Paulus herinnert ons er vervolgens aan dat deze godsvrucht volmaakt tot uiting kwam in de menswording van Christus, in Zijn geboorte en in het volmaakte leven dat Hij leidde tot Gods eer. Hij was de manifestatie van volmaakte godsgelijkheid.<\/p><p>Hij werd \u201cgerechtvaardigd door de Geest\u201d, wat betekent dat de Geest van God gedurende zijn openbare bediening voortdurend bevestigde wie hij was. Hij werd \u201cgezien door engelen\u201d\u2014v\u00f3\u00f3r en bij zijn geboorte, na zijn verzoeking in de woestijn, bij zijn opstanding, en zelfs nu nog, omdat de engelen aan hem onderworpen blijven.<\/p><p>Hij wordt \u201conder de heidenen gepredikt\u201d over de hele wereld, waar talloze mensen Hem hebben leren kennen als Heer en Redder. Ten slotte lezen we dat Hij \u201cin heerlijkheid is opgenomen\u201d, verwijzend naar Zijn hemelvaart. Hij is door de hemelen gegaan (Hebree\u00ebn 4:14-16) en zit aan Gods rechterhand totdat Zijn vijanden tot Zijn voetbank gemaakt zullen worden.<\/p><p>Ware godsvrucht is niet alleen zichtbaar in deze gezegende Man tijdens Zijn verblijf hier op aarde; Hij is ook de bron van de godsvrucht die in jouw leven en in het mijne te vinden is.<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Alleen wanneer we ons met Hem bezighouden, zal de Geest van God deze godvruchtigheid in ons voortbrengen. Het is pas echt Christusgelijkheid wanneer we gevormd en veranderd worden naar Zijn gezegende beeld.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mystery of
