Tegen zulke dingen bestaat geen wet.\u201d<br \/><strong data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"179\">Galaten 5:22-23<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"226\" data-end=\"428\">Zachtaardigheid wordt vaak vertaald als <em data-start=\"260\" data-end=\"270\">zachtmoedigheid<\/em>. In het Nieuwe Testament wordt het gebruikt om onderwerping aan de wil van God te beschrijven (Kol. 3:12), leerbaarheid (Jakobus 1:21) en rekening houden met anderen (Efezi\u00ebrs 4:2).<\/p><p data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"869\">We zien deze zachtmoedigheid terug in het leven van <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mozes<\/span><\/span>, Vooral in Numeri 12 zien we zijn nederigheid, zachtmoedigheid en vriendelijkheid in de manier waarop hij de Heer smeekte voor zijn zus Mirjam, nadat zij zich kritisch over hem had uitgelaten en door de Heer met lepra was getroffen. Mozes had wraakzuchtig kunnen zijn, maar in plaats daarvan wordt zijn zachtmoedigheid prachtig getoond toen hij tot de Heer riep voor zijn zus.<\/p><p data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"1097\">Zachtmoedigheid, of nederigheid, komt het best tot uiting in het leven van onze gezegende Heer Jezus, die zichzelf omschreef als &quot;zachtmoedig en nederig van hart&quot;. Ditzelfde woord wordt gebruikt om de Heer Jezus te beschrijven bij zijn triomfantelijke intocht in Jeruzalem. <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u201cZeg tegen de dochter van Sion: \u2018Zie, uw Koning komt tot u, nederig, zittend op een ezel, een veulen, het jong van een ezel\u2019\u201d (Matte\u00fcs 21:5).<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1244\" data-end=\"1391\">De apostel <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Paulus de apostel<\/span><\/span> Hij verwees ook naar de zachtmoedigheid en vriendelijkheid van Christus toen hij aan de gelovigen in Korinthe schreef: <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u201cNu smeek ik, Paulus, u in de zachtmoedigheid en vriendelijkheid van Christus \u2013 die weliswaar nederig onder u is, maar in mijn afwezigheid vrijmoedig tegenover u\u201d (2 Korinti\u00ebrs 10:1).<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1756\">Hoewel zachtmoedigheid, net als alle andere aspecten van de vrucht van de Geest, alleen door de Heilige Geest kan worden voortgebracht, is het ook iets waar we naar moeten streven. Paulus zegt duidelijk tegen Timote\u00fcs: <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u201cMaar u, man Gods, ontvlucht deze dingen en streef naar gerechtigheid, godsvrucht, geloof, liefde, geduld en zachtmoedigheid\u201d (1 Tim. 6:11).<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1890\" data-end=\"1939\">We moeten het aantrekken zoals je kleding aantrekt: <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u201cBekleed u daarom als uitverkorenen van God, heiligen en geliefden, met barmhartigheid, vriendelijkheid, nederigheid, zachtmoedigheid en geduld\u201d (Kol. 3:12).<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2076\" data-end=\"2331\">Zachtmoedigheid be\u00efnvloedt de manier waarop we met anderen spreken (1 Petrus 3:15). Het be\u00efnvloedt onze huwelijken (1 Petrus 3:1-6).
