Tegen zulke dingen bestaat geen wet.\u201d<br \/><strong>Galaten 5:22-23<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"217\" data-end=\"600\">Wanneer we spreken over de vrucht van de Geest, moeten we duidelijk maken dat er een verschil is tussen de vrucht van de Geest en de gaven van de Geest. Iedere gelovige heeft een gave ontvangen van de Heilige Geest, en niet iedereen heeft dezelfde gave. Er zijn drie belangrijke passages in het Nieuwe Testament die spreken over de gaven van de Geest: Romeinen 12, 1 Korinti\u00ebrs 12 en Efezi\u00ebrs 4.<\/p><p data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"925\">De vrucht van de Geest verwijst echter naar de eigenschappen van Christus die in elke gelovige zichtbaar moeten zijn. We moeten dit negenvoudige aspect van de vrucht van de Geest in ons dagelijks leven laten zien. Dit heeft niets te maken met een geestelijke gave, maar alles met geestelijk karakter, dat ons geestelijk gedrag be\u00efnvloedt.<\/p><p data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1105\">Als we kijken naar de lijst in Galaten 5:22-23, dan is die zeer vergelijkbaar met de beschrijving die gegeven wordt aan... <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mozes<\/span><\/span> betreffende het karakter van God zelf:<\/p><p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1499\">\u201cEn de HEER ging voor hem langs en riep uit: \u2018De HEER, de HEER God, barmhartig en genadig, lankmoedig en rijk aan goedheid en waarheid, die duizenden vergeeft, die ongerechtigheid, overtreding en zonde vergeeft, maar de schuldigen geenszins vrijspreekt, maar de ongerechtigheid der vaderen bezoekt aan de kinderen en de kindskinderen tot in de derde en vierde generatie\u2019\u201d (Exodus 34:6-7).<\/p><p data-start=\"1501\" data-end=\"1678\">Als we deze lijsten vergelijken, zien we dat het christelijke karakter een opvallende gelijkenis vertoont met het karakter van God. Er is een zeer duidelijk verband tussen de wortel en de vrucht:<\/p><ul><li>Liefde \u2014 God is liefde (1 Johannes 4:8)<\/li><li>Vreugde \u2014 \u201cHij zal zich over u verheugen\u201d (Zefanja 3:17)<\/li><li>Vrede \u2014 Hij is de God van de vrede (Hebree\u00ebn 13:20)<\/li><li>Geduld \u2014 Hij is de God van geduld (Romeinen 15:5)<\/li><li>Vriendelijkheid \u2014 die ons wordt getoond (Efezi\u00ebrs 2:7)<\/li><li>Goedheid volgt ons al onze dagen (Psalm 23:6; 27:13)<\/li><li>Trouw \u2014 \u201cGroot is Uw trouw\u201d (Klaagliederen 3:23)<\/li><li>Zachtmoedigheid \u2014 Hij is zachtmoedig en nederig (Matte\u00fcs 11:29)<\/li><li>Zelfbeheersing \u2014 Hij heeft Zijn kracht getoond (Lucas 1:51)<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>In al deze dingen is onze God heilig, en wie kan met Hem vergeleken worden? Toch is het Zijn verlangen dat wij de kenmerken en eigenschappen tonen van Hem die ons liefhad en Zijn geliefde Zoon voor ons gaf op Golgotha.<\/p><p data-start=\"2137\" data-end=\"2444\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>Hij verlangt dat u en ik gelijkvormig worden aan het beeld van Zijn geliefde Zoon, die vele zonen tot heerlijkheid brengt.
