Hij is een beeld van een man die voor zijn gezin bidt. Mannen, hoeveel van ons nemen de tijd om voor ons gezin te bidden? Niet alleen &quot;Heer, zegen mijn gezin&quot;, maar echt volhardend in gebed, ons gezin voor de Heer brengend bij het familiealtaar? Hoeveel van ons laten onze kinderen ons horen terwijl we op onze knie\u00ebn tot onze Abba Vader spreken, volhardend in gebed voor ons gezin, wetende dat, hoewel de vijand een plan heeft, Hij het zal laten werken als we ons gezin aan de Heer toevertrouwen. <em>Zijn<\/em> plan? Wanneer we tot de Heer bidden voor ons gezin, moeten we niet alleen vragen om een beschermende muur om hen heen te plaatsen, maar ook om hen innerlijk te versterken. We kunnen hen niet isoleren van de vijand, maar we kunnen hen wel beschermen tegen de vijand door het Woord van God dat in gebed wordt gezaaid.<\/p><p>Deze man in Nehemia, Jedaja, de aanroeper, bouwde een muur van gebed. Er zullen dingen in ons leven gebeuren die moeilijk, pijnlijk en zeer zwaar zijn om onder ogen te zien. Dit zijn de dingen die alleen door gebed en vasten aangepakt kunnen worden. Zo was het ook met de bezeten jongen die Jezus bevrijdde. Hier was een man, zijn vader, die wist waar hij zijn zoon heen moest brengen toen hij zo&#039;n grote nood had. En dat deed hij ook. Hij bracht zijn zoon naar de Heer Jezus en vroeg de Heer hem te genezen. De Heer verhoorde zijn gebed en genas zijn zoon (Marcus 9:14-29).
