David had hetzelfde gevoel over zijn tijd in Psalm 11:3, waar hij zegt: &quot;Als de fundamenten vernietigd zijn, wat kunnen de rechtvaardigen dan doen?&quot; Terwijl David nadacht over de problemen in de wereld om hem heen, was zijn antwoord: &quot;In de <span class=\"cLIN-SC\">Heer<\/span> Ik stel mijn vertrouwen\u201d (vers 1). Hij vervolgt door ons eraan te herinneren dat de Heer niet veranderd is; Hij zit nog steeds op de troon, en zegt: \u201cDe <span class=\"cLIN-SC\">Heer<\/span> is in Zijn heilige tempel, de <span class=\"cLIN-SC\">Heer<\/span>\u2019&quot;De troon van God is in de hemel; Zijn ogen zien, Zijn oogleden beproeven de zonen der mensen&quot; (vers 4). Op een andere plaats wordt ons verteld dat de &quot;ogen van de <span class=\"cLIN-SC\">Heer<\/span> Hij rende heen en weer over de hele aarde om Zijn kracht te tonen ten behoeve van hen wier hart Hem trouw is\u201d (2 Kronieken 16:9).<\/p><p>Het vers dat direct voorafgaat aan de tekst van vandaag draagt ons op: \u201cDenk aan hen die over u heersen, die u het woord van God hebben verkondigd, en volg hun geloof na, en let op de gevolgen van hun daden\u201d (Hebree\u00ebn 13:7). Zij die ons voorgingen, hebben ons de weg van de gerechtigheid geleerd; hun leven en hun leer wezen ons naar Hem die gisteren, vandaag en voor altijd dezelfde is. Zoals William MacDonald het verwoordde: \u201cDe kern van hun leer was dit: Jezus is gisteren, vandaag en voor altijd dezelfde. Het doel van hun leven was Jezus, dezelfde gisteren, vandaag en voor altijd. De basis van hun boodschap was dat Jezus de Christus is, gisteren, vandaag en voor altijd.\u201d<\/p><p>Wat zou het geweldig zijn om zo&#039;n enkelvoudig doel in ons leven te hebben! Maar dat hebben we! De Heer Jezus Christus is het doel van onze ziel. Dit is wat ons is doorgegeven! De boodschap is niet veranderd; ze is dezelfde omdat Hij niet veranderd is en dezelfde is, gisteren, vandaag en voor altijd! Laten we deze boodschap met ons meedragen terwijl we door de dag gaan!<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<br \/><\/strong><em>Hoe vast fundament, gij heiligen des Heren, is gelegd voor het geloof in Gods voortreffelijke woord! <\/em><br \/><em>Wat kan Hij nog meer zeggen dan wat Hij tot u heeft gezegd: u die uw toevlucht tot de Verlosser hebt gezocht?<\/em><\/p><div dir=\"ltr\"><em>De ziel die op Jezus heeft vertrouwd voor rust, zal Hij niet (zo heeft Hij gezegd) aan haar vijanden overgeven; <\/em><br \/><em>Die ziel, al zou de hele hel proberen haar te doen wankelen, zal Hij nooit \u2013 nee, nooit \u2013 nee, nooit verlaten.<\/em><br \/><em>\u2013 Richard Keene<\/em><\/div><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christ Is the Foundation Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.Hebrews 13:8 We live in such difficult times, where it seems the entire foundation all around us is crumbling!
