Hij wordt vaak verkeerd begrepen en toegepast. Maar hij is juist heel bemoedigend, omdat hij ons herinnert aan de liefdevolle hand van God de Vader. Deze verzen, en de verzen die volgen, gaan over Gods tuchtiging. Wanneer we het woord horen... <em>discipline<\/em> We associ\u00ebren het met straf, maar daar gaat het hier helemaal niet om. Sterker nog, voor de gelovige heeft de Heer Jezus Christus onze straf op Zich genomen aan het kruis. Er rest ons niets anders dan wat hier wordt omschreven als de liefdevolle tuchtiging van een vaderhart jegens zijn kinderen.<\/p><p>Het woord <em>tuchtiging<\/em> betekent opvoeding, instructie of discipline van kinderen. Als vader van vier kinderen heb ik mijn eigen kinderen moeten opvoeden, onderwijzen en zelfs disciplineren. Ik ga niet naar de kinderen van de buren om ze te disciplineren, ook al hadden ze het misschien nodig en had ik het misschien wel gewild. Ik heb de verantwoordelijkheid om mijn eigen kinderen op te voeden in de vreze des Heren. Door consequente en liefdevolle discipline hebben mijn kinderen geleerd dat ik van hen houd. Door de jaren heen heeft dit hen vertrouwen en de zekerheid van mijn liefde gegeven. Zo is het ook met de liefdevolle hand van onze Vader in de hemel. We genieten misschien niet van de discipline of opvoeding op dat moment, of waarderen het zelfs niet, maar later zijn we Hem zeer dankbaar voor de manier waarop Hij in ons leven heeft gewerkt. &quot;Wie de <span class=\"cLIN-SC\">Heer<\/span> Hij tuchtigt met liefde. Verzet je niet tegen de liefdevolle hand van de Vader, maar laat je erdoor leiden en bemoedigen!<\/p><p><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><\/p><div dir=\"ltr\"><em>De voortdurende zorg van een heilige Vader houdt de wacht met een onvermoeibare blik., <\/em><br \/><em>Om te zien welke vruchten Zijn kinderen dragen \u2013 vruchten die passen bij hun hoge roeping;<\/em><\/div><div dir=\"ltr\"><br \/><em>Het vergt steeds meer kennis van onze toestand, wat de gemeenschap met Zijn liefde vertroebelt., <\/em><br \/><em>Het zou onze groei kunnen remmen, of onze harten kunnen scheiden van wat hierboven geopenbaard wordt.<\/em><\/div><div dir=\"ltr\"><br \/><em>O wonderbaarlijke liefde! die nooit de voorwerpen van haar tedere zorg vergeet; <\/em><br \/><em>Moge zij hen blijven tuchtigen, zolang de zonde hen bedreigt, om hen te waarschuwen en te beschermen waar zij zich ook bevinden:<\/em><\/div><div dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"ltr\"><em>Maar Hij vergeet hen nooit, maar voedt hen voortdurend met tekenen van Zijn tedere liefde; <\/em><br \/><em>Wij zullen hen bewaren totdat zij, bevrijd van alle kwaad, hun rust vinden bij Hem in de hemel.<\/em><\/div><\/div><div dir=\"ltr\"><em>\u2013 JND<\/em><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
