Uiteindelijk is Satan niet zozeer in oorlog met ons als wel met God. Toen de duivel zich verhief in hoogmoed en zijn vijf &#039;Ik wil&#039;-uitspraken van rebellie deed, zei hij niet: &#039;Ik wil zijn zoals de mens.&#039; Hij zei: &#039;Ik wil zijn zoals de Allerhoogste&#039; (Jesaja 14:14). Hij verlangt ernaar om zoals God te zijn en is sindsdien in oorlog met Hem.<\/p><p data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"1089\">Toen Satan de Heer Jezus aanviel in de woestijn en op andere momenten in Zijn leven, was dat niet alleen omdat Hij een zondeloos leven leidde als de volmaakte Mens, maar ook omdat Hij God was \u2013 en is. Satans lange oorlog is altijd tegen God geweest. Wij zijn soldaten in het leger van de Heer, maar het is de Opperbevelhebber die Satan werkelijk tegenwerkt. De strijd is niet van ons; het is de strijd van de Heer.<\/p><p data-start=\"1091\" data-end=\"1952\">We kunnen deze waarheid overal in de Schrift terugvinden. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mozes<\/span><\/span> Hij moedigde de Isra\u00eblieten aan toen ze tegenover vele vijanden stonden: &quot;Vrees hen niet, want de HEER, uw God, zelf strijdt voor u&quot; (Deuteronomium 3:22). <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Nehemia<\/span><\/span>, Toen hij werd aangevallen, verklaarde hij tegen degenen die aan de muur werkten: &quot;Onze God zal voor ons strijden&quot; (Nehemia 4:20). Toen de Assyrische koning optrok tegen <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Hizkia<\/span><\/span>, Hij herinnerde het volk eraan: \u201cMet hem is een arm van vlees en bloed, maar met ons is de HEER, onze God, om ons te helpen en onze strijd te strijden\u201d (2 Kronieken 32:8). <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Jozua<\/span><\/span> Hij herinnerde Isra\u00ebl er herhaaldelijk aan dat het de Heer was die voor hen had gestreden (Jozua 10:14; 23:3, 10). <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">David<\/span><\/span> Tegenover Goliath riep hij uit: &quot;De strijd is van de Heer, en Hij zal u in onze handen geven&quot; (1 Sam. 17:47).<\/p><p data-start=\"1954\" data-end=\"2077\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><strong>Ankerpunt voor vandaag:<\/strong><br \/>De strijd is van de Heer, en Hij is het die ons altijd in triomf leidt en ons de overwinning geeft (1 Korinti\u00ebrs 15:57; 2 Korinti\u00ebrs 2:14).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Battle Is The Lord\u2019s \u201cThus says the LORD to you: \u2018Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God\u2019s\u2026\u2019\u201d 2 Chronicles 20:15 It is good to remember that the daily skirmishes we fight are not ours, but the Lord\u2019s.
